I managed to get through three days of mixing and baking with only one minor autistic meltdown, so I consider that a win.

I'm lining up my overarching goals for 2025 right now. Gonna document all the dolls I have, get through some video game backlog, and see how far I get with the Valdemar books. I got most of them in a Humble Bundle but haven't had much attention span to read, and now that I'm on ADHD medication, I think I'm gonna take a crack at it.

We read a lot more when we were children because we didn't have all the other dopamine distractions that we now have in our adult lives. Or we got discouraged because we either didn''t read at the same rate at the rest of the class or found the books boring and zoned out.

It doesn't matter how much you read as long as you're reading. Says the person who has teenaged ebooks that still say NEW. Look up the bookwheel and tell me that isn't the invention of someone with ADHD.

Fellow ADHD-haver here. I somehow speedran Iron Widow (three days or so), but it took me months to finish Neuromancer despite my interest in cyberpunk, especially what is widely regarded as the ur-cyberpunk novel.

Regarding my own plans: I'm hoping to clear out my art backlog before the end of the year; as tends to happen with me, one set of drawings intended to be posted all at once ballooned into around four. Also debating on which OC of mine will have the honour of being amigurumi project no. 50 (maybe Pallas, a merman, for the challenge of all the colour-changing required on most of him?).

I have an art backlog too! I have about 2 years worth of sketches that need to be inked and colored in. Maybe I have too many goals for next year...

Can't have a backlog if you never plan any drawings and just do them when they want to happen! lol

Once I got out of school I never had any hard goals set for finishing my creative endeavors. There is a hierarchy for how projects get finished, currently tidying up notes for something right now, but there's also a small amount of "whenever" projects for whenever they find their calling. A doll might get a hand sewn wardrobe in a week then I might not sew again for a year.

Finishing things with the idea it will make room for something new and exciting has been a helpful mindset. So does looking at what only needs just a little bit of attention to finish and getitng those out of the way.

Does giving three cats a bath count as a project?

We had a cold weather induced flea infestation. Indigo, the big tomcat, was especially bad as far as the fleas go. His fur is so thick it's hard to tell until he starts shedding flea dirt, but he was also the best behaved. (He just sat in the sink looking sad, bless him.) Now I've got three damp cats and some new scars. I also need to get them new flea collars, but that can wait a day or two after the flea bath.

Also, before anyone asks, all the blankets and bedding they sleep on is in the wash while they dry so there's no repeat contamination.

Reminds me of a video I saw about the bathing of a massive orange Maine Coon boy. He just sat there and cried quietly.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

I'm really glad he doesn't struggle during bath time. He's fifteen pounds. Though his "sister" with whom he shares a brain did PLENTY of struggling and screaming. It was like trying to wrangle a lubed up, floppy arm, car lot inflatable tube guy.
