I was bored/ had too much time on my hands (okay, more like not doing what I'n supposed to be) so I decided to make an anime styled dollieh head. I couldn't find any dolls made by companies that fit the character. It's not that easy even though it's extremely stylized...had to tweak it again and again...but it's easier than a realistic one. Will post pics if I can get my butt off of the iPhone and onto a laptop. Or if I don't throw it in a box like I did with that otter.

I know both feelings, I have a sizable parts box and half a Roger I might just melt with a hose and start fresh. Don't feel bad if you do box it. Every critter you make teaches you something that gets applied to the next one.

Oddly new Nia is acting just like the old one, a bit shy but I think it's mostly because she is still being forced to wear a kimono instead of the more flow-y peasant outfit that is her character. And Cali keeps looking at me with this super cute head tilt. (yes I realize I just need to suede her head, but it's giving her character!) It's amazing how expressive my new girls are, and I suddenly feel like 4 dolls may be more demanding then I was expecting! (but I am up to the challenge!)

I'm debating on getting a ImpChild male body...to see how the thgh joint works and have something to possibly base a future male body I wanna sculpt off of. But I might wait to see how their ImpYoung line looks. If it's somewhere inbetween the ImpChild and ImpModel or Star in terms of the body line and muscular-ness (*is actually hoping for an Obitsu 55 esque one with a bit of ImpChild thrown in*), I might get one. Provided that they have a thigh joint, of course.

When my DZ Annie shipped from DDE, the package weighed in at 4lbs according to UPS. I have gotten the tracking number for the boy DZ body I ordered from Junkyspot for Rune. This is not even a complete doll, and a block of eye putty and two pairs of eyelashes do not weigh as much as a doll head with eyes and eye putty already in, plus face-up protector. How the heck did Emory manage to bump the weight to 5lbs??

I hope there's pocky....
