I hear ya, we have two cars and BOTH stopped working last night. WTF?

I can relate with you both, the transmission went out on my dad's car and then the engine died in my little fiero. And all of this happened just after I ordered my dolls. >_< We need to find this guy Murphy and have a nice long talk with him.

Agreed. I finally have doll money ordered my doll but now the payments on his eyes and wig will have to wait.
I can't even afford to buy him his man clothes! He's gonna wear dresses until who knows when! (Which was my originally plan but still....) We need to find this murphy person and beat him with a STICK I tell you a big ol'STICK!

While I was putting Klar's outer coat back onto him, his hand's magnet decided to fall out. So I grabbed it, put a drop of glue into the slot, checked the magnet's polarity, checked it again, and plonked it in. After a while I went to put his hand back on, and the magnets repel. *head desks repeatedly*

I'm trying to write a paper on death in Victorian literature. It's pretty depressing... because of the subject and how horribly I'm failing at it. It's 20% of my grade.... so I'm mildly stressed out right now to say the least.
At Home: Lettice (RS Rong), Avery (PD Tara), Sebastian (RS Wu), Titiana (RS Li), Patrick (RS Mai), Vivica (DDoll Airi), Brody (DZ Hid), Fyodor (DDoll Hiro), Landon (WD HOE Juwel), Khoshekh (Oleum's Dolls)

Oh the plus side, he now has fist launching action like those anime robots from the '70s and '80s! :?

I might be able to help with this.

You might take the angle that the Victorians were the first to really "romanticize" death. You can see it in the sentimentality they used when they approached it, not to mention all the "romantic/sentimental deathbed scenes" they stuck into things. Covering death with roses, so to speak--and if you want to get into WHY you think they did that, you'll have quite a lot to cover.

OK. If you have some fake fur, (and you can get free fur samples, or get something made of fake fur from a thirft store) it is EASY to make a fur wig.

Second it is EASY to make pants and other clothes from a sock, and there are a lot of tutorials for it. There are even probably some here.

Having a BJD is all about creativity. Putting your own effort into them is a lot more satisfying than just buying stuff.

I'll check those sites out. I definietly will be making him a lot of custom stuff and his face-up is going to be all by myself. (I'm scared to death to do it too...)
I've already commisioned a custom wig to my likings. (Bright green red and blue streaks.) as well as custom eyes. It's all not done yet so I can get a little crazy. (Can we say sparkly beads?)

I'll check out some of those tutorials. I figured anything that didn't fit Haruka would go to him. And there are a lot of pink shirts that despite being for Haruka, it seems my hands knew which doll needed more clothes.

He's going to be fun to customize. I already have a basic idea what I want to do for his face-up but I'm not going to hesitate to go a little crazy in adding some more details. (I noticed with a pencil I can make really whispy looking eyelashes on paper. I'm hoping to attempt the same with paint but practice on paper before I even try with his head.)

LOL

Surprisingly, I think that'd actually fit his character too. XD For the time being, I have his hand's wrist piece in the freezer. Hopefully that will help me get the magnet out. If not, I'll just have to buy him a new wrist piece. Luckily, it's not all that expensive.

I think I'm in love with my gay friend. Blah. He's kind and sweet, a major geek like me, encourages my doll hobby and someone I've been talking to more and more ever since my ex cheated on me. I really thought I was over him after I told him I liked him about a year and a bit ago. But after the whole ex cheating on me thing, I guess my feelings for him popped up again and it's really hard to quash them since we've been bonding and having heart to hearts and such since we both had crappy relationships in the past year. But then a small part of my brain is telling me how he rejected me last year and we remained great friends. And I really want to just remain friends with the guy but these feelings keep feeling so... intense.

*sigh* It's already nearly been two months since my ex cheated on me and I feel like a terrible butt for having feelings for another guy already. And even without that part factored in, I seriously do not want to lose this friendship I have because I find myself feeling better being single and not needing a guy, and the fact is we've got a good thing going. I don't wanna lose a close friend yet even if for a bit as I gather my pride and try being his friend again.

Blah and dolls are not helping since I'm running out of bodies to put heads upon and then I realise I need to get rid of my dolls soon. :C
