I always wondered if I could set up something with the baddies in their uniforms looking at a map or trying to change a car tire while the Russian sniper and British Commando sneak up on them or something. A lot less complicated then trying to put together Hogan's Heroes. Or if it's done like they're working on a movie set. When you've got a couple of uniforms and well made medals and insignia what are you supposed to do? It's like where do you ask to make sure you have things right?
Kim, are you thinking of setting up something like a photo diorama? (is that even a real term?)
Of course, there are tons of resources on the 'net but separating the wheat from the chaff can be a bit daunting. There are also good, soft cover books from Osprey and Concord that are informative without being to heavy or scholarly.
My primary knowledge as far as WW2 is primarily US and Commonwealth forces. I'm not a fan of WW2 German and Axis subjects so my knowledge of those subjects mostly comes from old molding magazines and the internet. I might be able to offer you some help but I won't claim to be a reliable source!
