I really wouldn't worry about the resin yellowing, unless you go for something with french resin or something incredibly white. I am not the least bit careful with my dolls as far as sunlight goes although they have gotten a full body coating of UV cut MSC. I got Taavi second hand and in the now over a year I've had him he's spent most of his time in locations with at least partial sunlight and, comparing him to the inside of his head cap and his new hands, I can't see any visible yellowing.
I'm just awaiting comparison pictures right now as my Ellie has a really big head. He won't be her boyfriend by the way.
