I'm not sure what I'd do if we had a mouse infestation.. other than Dr. House would have a field day killing them all. Just the idea of having to clean up the bodies makes me sad. *Sigh* Circle of life, I guess.

I'm so glad I live on the seventh floor of a ten-story building. Ever since they destroyed the mega mouse den on the first floor we haven't had any mice all the way up here; they mostly stick to the lower floors.

I don't either, my smother is obsessed with "cute" and thinks I want to see pictures of other peoples' pets because they're cute. Could be why I have so many boy dolls, they can't be frilly and cute, except for Bobby.

LMAO! I'm the same way! See crickets are my bane, they get in places in my room where I cant' find them and keep me up at night, but I see them get caught in spider webs sometimes, so I've created an alliance with the spiders.

Yeah that's me :( For some reason even on TV I can't stand to see animals harmed. I love horror movies and I can watch people be killed six ways to Sunday without batting an eye, but I won't even watch movies like Old Yeller where I know an animal dies.

Apparently the little guys are too small to set off the kill traps. Their bodies are only about 1.5" long. So the live traps are the only ones that catch them. I take them out into a spot in the woods I know of out past an industrial area. Closest thing I know of to it is a prison, but that's several miles from my drop point. Hoping they will find a new home somewhere in the woods.

They're housemice, Mus musculus Some of the other diseases the house mouse carries can be deadly: for example, leptospirosis, murine typhus, rickettsialpox, tularemia, lymphocytic choriomeningitis and potentially bubonic plague. I got tularemia from house mice. Luckily it was the chronic form instead of the pneumonic form or it would have killed me.

At that age, they can't survive outside of a protected environment like a house. However I am sure the wildlife to whom you are delivering these tasty morsels are quite grateful.

The full grown house mice in my USA residence have bodies that are only 1.5 inches or so, not including tail. We had the same problem, luckily theyre really kind of dumb and will run into one way traps even if other mice are in them..

Sounds like the same kind of mice. Pretty sure they are fully grown. We've had problems with them on and off for the last year and a half, probably caught a dozen or so and they've all been the same size.

Better for them to at least have a chance in the wild. No one else who lives here will kill them and they don't even think they are cute like I do. My mother did at least agree to deal with any dead mice from the fatal traps, but there have been none so far. Like I said... think they are too small to set them off.

You need a few cats that like to mouse in the house for a few weeks. My friend had an infested apartment so I took my one cat who was an amazing mouser over there and let her at it. She caught dozens first night and did the same for almost a week thereafter. Not too long after that the mice just left. It was like they got the word out and vamoosed. Even after we'd take her over with us every week or so and let her prowl there for a day and it still worked like a charm. The mice in the rest of the building could smell her in there I guess and they totally avoided the place. But it has to be a cat that kills a few. It only seems to work with a real mouser. My male cat he's not a hunter beyond batting at some string and most animals that get in here know that. My girl is the one they run screaming from. Him? He'd probably just let one lie between his paws and nap....

This is a lame suck but I'd rather have it than the serious sucks: browsing DOA marketplace and three things struck me as depressing.
1 - dolls which used to be sought after and which commanded a good price even when they were still available are being sold for a fraction of their original price and they just sit there, some for months. (Domuya Forest Keeper I am looking at you!)
2 - despite these dolls being high on my wishlist when they first came out, I no longer want them so I am watching these great deals pass by. (After watching Antique Roadshow I also often wonder will these treasures regain their value with time? With the market saturation, values are going down. It's just so shocking to me still.)
3 - I saw a beautifully modded body for the cheaps and I have a head here which would make such a fascinating hybrid but I promised myself no more doll stuff after my monster high purchase. I bookmarked it though. =s
