Greyhaunt wrote:So apparently when I ordered my Delilah Noir doll I forgot the suite number in the address. You have to wonder how big a deal that really is given as it's addressed to a LAW SCHOOL and as far as I know there is only ONE of those in this building. Apparently, however, it was too much for the postal people to cope with so they decided to just ship back my frigging doll instead of call the number provided and get the correct address.

Jerks.

Fortunately, Ashton Drake company has good customer service - the lady I talked to is having a new one shipped out to me so I can still get her this week :)

You could live in Britain.

Basically, in Britain, if someone uses a parcel carrier service to send a parcel, they will try to deliver it to your door. If you're not in, they'll give put an 'Attempted Delivery' slip in your mail box - a little scrap of paper that you can take to their private warehouse to get your package.

Every delivery service has a separate warehouse. It sounds complicated and inconvenient because it is. Remember this hell for whenever someone suggests that the US Postal Service should be totally privatized!

Bummer day. :(

On a minor note, a certain widely known & huge forum is driving me out of my skull again... won't go into details, and I DO NOT wish to start any issues or flame wars, just saying I'm very frustrated.

More importantly, though, my hubby is currently undergoing a CT to see if he has appendicitis. If he does, it's straight to the OR for removal. :( I'm waiting by the phone for news. Surfing the net for distraction. Send your good thoughts please!

I love it when DA trolls are young and can't use their brains. It makes it too easy for me to make them accidentally diss themselves.

Fighting sinusitis so I might have some couch time with something I don't need to hear very well because I know it, like Star Trek or Python. It's got me wondering if the dolls should do a slide show to the audio of a Python sketch, did the Most Awful Family in Britain and might try again with recast kids. There's something Keith Moon about running out of beans.

For those of you who paint batches of dolls at a time does it spiritually take something from you? not in a bad way, kind of like the feeling you've given birth to something almost child like. Note to self think three times before letting any of the dolls see Little Otik.

Tried to change the shape of one of my painted dolls' eyes and failed again(taking the opportunity to do so since she was down for a re-faceup). She insist she's a nekomimi and that if I want a doll with Pureneemo style anime eyes I should paint it for another doll.

The dolls know what they want.

Motion tested the Monster High dolls and her arced back bothers me, especially for the crabwalk. And her arms aren't long enough to do any sort of pair's skating moves with the guy. Thinking of calling them Breakable Betsy and Disarming Dan.

Wow Kim,
You have a lot more requirements for your doll than I do for mine. I don't think any of my dolls have been tested for their crabwalking ability
