My mom's last radiation therapy appointment is on the 16th. We don't know how much it's helped to shrink the tumors in her abdomen but it will be so much better when she can eat solid food again.

Pizza Pizza sent me a $30 gift certificate as an apology for some bad service so once my mom has her appetite back we'll be celebrating with pizza. (PizzaPizza is her favorite aside from 7/11 nachos with chili and cheese sauce. We have learned our lesson though - don't order from PizzaPizza late on Saturday night because it comes from their downtown branch and it's gross. Their other restaurants aren't open that late but they have better cooks!)

I'm really hoping your mother's tumors will have shrunk and that she can eat solid food soon.

I just got back yesterday from three days in Chicago with my mom. It was a blast! I went horseback riding (in the rain), Navy Pier twice, Shedd to see the Jellyfish, City Target, Disney Store, toured a Navy ship at Navy Pier for Navy week, saw the Blue Angels, and took a water taxi.

We stayed the first night with an old friend of my mom's. She lived in Cumberland. The second night we stayed at my brother's and sister-in-law's place near Lincoln Park Zoo.

i'm staying at my aunties for a few weeks while shes in europe and my bf was here with me for a few nights and when he had to go back home for a few days he left me his ps3!!!! AWE YEAH, I'VE BEEN WATCHING SO MUCH NETFLIX. even better is he's coming to stay with me again tomorrow and then thursday we're going to a concert

You were in town! we could have bumped into each other and not even known it!
I wasn't near any of those places this weekend though, so we probably didn't(bump into each other that is).

Public transit in my city has been granted a stay of execution of one year.

It's not much of a rejoice, but at least I'll still be able to get downtown. And to work. The devil you know, huh? And if I'm not worried about where I'll be working in the immediate future, I should be able to get myself a new computer.

One that has working speakers. It's a laptop, how does it keep losing track of the speakers? They're built in, for Pete's sake.

I have come pretty far with my shop's logo last night ^^. On paper, that is. I'll be scanning it onto my computer now and doing some finetuning. I also thought of a tiny little poem that I will put on my 'Thank you for your purchase'-cards ^^. I can't show you anything yet, or at least I'd rather wait until my shop has gone live, but I'm so happy!!! ^^ I was stuck drawing the logo for about two weeks because I was trying to accomplish a style that wasn't mine. When I started doodling in my own style out of frustration, the logo just happened. LOL.

It'll probably be another month before my shop will actually go live, my order is being processed as we speak ^^. I wanted to spread my budget and buy from three dealers, but that would undermine my concept of having stuff in stock and it would give me a weaker position, so I decided to specialize in just one type of item. ^^ I'm so excited!!!!!
