Thanks for the warning but I still plan to read all three..At least to finish them. I mean I thought the Hunger Games was beautifully executed. Made me chuckle, made me tear up...And I don't even own a paperback of the book just my kindle data.

...I think I just had a dollieh moment.

I got up to go get showered and dressed for work this evening (three whole hours, w00t) and happened to walk past my computer. I felt something hit me in the back, turned around...and Cherry was lying on the floor behind my feet. She had somehow fallen off my monitor, traveled three feet vertically through the air, hit the small of my back, and tumbled to the floor.

It was almost like she was saying "Please, Mama, take me too, I want to go to work with you like I used to! PLEASE!!"

Poor thing. I picked her up, set her back, and explained to her as gently as I could that I couldn't take her to work with me at the Sears cashwrap.

...Am I going nuts or what?

I went through a period of picking up Star Trekkers when I lived in Hollywood. Couldn't figure out the physics of some of it, just playfully scolded them and put them back.

I've had similar moments with Haruka where she's seemed to glower at me silently daring me almost to leave her nude on the desk again. Since I've spent more time making her new clothes and giving her and my other dolls attention there's been less falling apart...But yeah sometimes she just get's this look on her face that just shrieks: "I'm pissed." And she'll fall apart no matter what I do besides just leaving her alone.

Some of fashion dolls disappear on me. I usually find them outside where my beagle left them. Luckily he doesn't chew them just steals them sometime.

Finally got around to updating my pictures of my doll family in Dollieh Sanctuaries. And have realized that my boys really need more clothes, especially some modern casual ones. So I suppose I need to start sewing some...

Jimmy Fallon:

Finally found someone that had the clip of the "Don't Read This Book" segment.

I was actually pretty amused. He was making fun of the fact that you really couldn't tell wtf was going on inside the book from the cover. Baen Books has a reputation for some of the worst covers in the industry and this was about average for them, and on top of that it was the third book in the series, so anyone seeing it for the first time would, indeed, not be able to tell what was going on just from the cover picture. Clearly he did not even read the cover blurb on the back though, which is just plain lazy. So points for being correct about the cover, same amount subtracted for not reading the back cover blurb.

Hunger Games:

I thought the entire series was absolutely brilliant. I love how the author did not take *any* "easy outs" for the sake of an easy read or a happy ending. I can't say anything more or I'll do spoilers, but this is NOT an "easy" series to read, and it goes places most YA books wouldn't dare.

And that's how I like my novels. I'm looking forward to finishing Catching Fire then I gotta wait awhile to read Mockingjay.

My husband and 16 yo daughter are out at the theater watching Hunger Games as I type. Jeff had already read the books, and although Joy had wanted to read them before she watched the movie, they are in storage now.
