Congrats on the roof, Misty. I'm sure it's not an easy go with a house that old, either.

We bought a house! We are up to our eyeballs in boxes to unpack, but we are so excited about my husband's new job and our new house! It's the beginning of all new things!

It's not the age, it's the dangerous height and pitch of the roof. But the local roofer that Erie Home found for us (100% Hispanic owned and operated!) was just flat out amazing. I have never seen anyone work that hard and that fast, especially on such a dangerous pitch. We bought the entire crew six-packs of Corona for completing the job so fast, and so well.

Our moving company is also 100% Hispanic owned and operated and they were amazing. Small businesses are the best to work with.

A new to us car, except we aren't sure what it's going to be exactly. We're going for 2010 or younger, automatic, minivan/small SUV/wagon but not another Buick or a "toaster". Just know it's a much much much better situation than last time.

And we're junking the last piece of #^%^@$! from the no good spring and summer of 2021 so that should really change the energy around here too.

Happy birthday to me,
I got Eliza McFee,
I turned 70,
and that sucks for me.
(LOL I'm such a poet!)

She adorable except for the stupid writing on the skirt. What were they thinking? I will have to see if I can make it go away once I unbox her.
And yes, I'm not doing this birthday well. I feel officially old now. I'm going to eat whatever I want today and regret it tomorrow. I also got 2 Wally's gift cards and trying to choose between more dolls or booze or both.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

If that doll wasn't a big head I would be tempted.

On the generator side of life we have a solar powered Yeti brand and used it for the fridge. For everyone I'd say go to the camping store and get what ever little solar powered charger they have on sale and make sure it has a cord with it that'll fit your phone.
