Another Bratz doll went down to 10$, I had to... My hubby's annoyed, but he's spent more than me.

I haven't participated in Black Friday in eons, but my husband and I went out this morning and bought.....

A new car! it wasn't spur of the moment, but I had originally planned on getting a newer model used car. However, with prices of used cars these days, getting a new one was a better choice for us.

New cars are always exciting! I agree about the prices of used being insane these days though! I’ve been leasing for the past ten years because I can’t afford to outright purchase one without the monthly payment costing almost as much as a months rent, even for a used one! >__< I’d wanted to purchase this last one with a $2400 deposit and they STILL wanted $400 a month for it. My limit is $300. So, leasing it is.

Maybe if I can manage to save up $3000 before this lease is up I can finally afford the payments to outright purchase next time.

As for Black Friday shopping, I didn’t go yesterday because I worked. Thanksgiving and Black Friday are paid holidays for us. My company was offering triple time to anyone volunteering to work Friday. So I just earned $400 for a single day. I’ve got two Monster High Reel Drama dolls in my Amazon cart that are priced … fairly reasonably I guess. Once I get paid again, if the prices don’t shoot up too high, I’ll probably buy them. Lagoona and Frankie. I’d like Clawdeen and Draculaura too, but maybe down the line. I’m trying really hard to be good and not blow all my spending money on dolls. Especially when the ones like Rainbow High have been on sale all day yesterday in Amazon.

Congratulations! Alaska dealers still have trucks, but new cars are few and priced outrageously. My niece had her Mazda totaled and it took over 6 months for them to get any new Mazdas in. She had to put money down and then when they got some in, she got first choice of what they got...she couldn't order anything specific. It's nuts! Used cars that blue book at $3000 are selling for $8000 and up. Glad you got one without that much trouble.

On the buying side, I got some quilted hot pads from the local arts & crafts fair, some pretty scarves from Joann's for a great price and my Designer Tiana in the art deco outfit came. I looked long enough to make sure she didn't have any damage and the DH put her away for my Christmas. Now I need to sell the other Designer Tiana.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Traded a crochet mushroom baby for a 3D froggy at the market. To me, she's a doll. LOL

Hopefully only groceries and sundries for us for awhile. There is only one set of figurines I'm half interested in but only if they're presented to me on my shopping rounds. And I'll have to buy two so I can mod one set into the supporting cast.

With the car we narrowed our choices down to several models and years and a price cap. Almost went with a dealership but they were trying to bully me into financing until I shut the guy up and told him I'm not making his boat payments.

Thanks, she's a lot of fun. I went back to look at his table today, and he's even got wolves and bunnies.
