I haven't been able to get myself to read twilight, and I refuse to watch the movies, so I found a nice and very detailed summary on LJ with pictures. The author of the summary also added a lot of her own sarcastic comments which made the reading so much more interesting, because the story really wasn't.

I don't hate on Twilight lovers, I just don't discuss it with them or listen to them discuss it. I'm sure they couldn't care less if I mentioned the Violet Eyes series (a mystery type urban fantasy novel series) so I expect the same amount of respect from them not to mention Twilight. One of my best friends loves Twilight, and I don't bash it in front of her, and she doesn't talk about it. The most we do is joke about the sparklepires because I know she loves the series, and I don't. Simple as that.

For a different random thought:

I need to pack today, and my mom has been having me come into work and do all the tasks she doesn't like. At least I've gotten quite good and efficient with the driver log books. I'm leaving for Austria tomorrow, but no dolls will be coming with me. My family there doesn't care for them and I don't know any doll owners in Vienna, Austria so I simply won't bother. They'll be fine without me, I'm more worried about my partner who doesn't like being alone and I'm going to be gone 2 weeks. I'll still talk to her at least.

Hee, sparklepires. For myself I choose to think of them as fairies. *Nods* Certain types of fairies drink blood. I only read the first two books though. They're very simply written so pretty quick reads. Never bothered with the last two books because I had friends who read them and pretty much told me the whole ending, spoilsports. And I don't really like the characters enough to bother finishing. Doesn't help that I read a lot of reviews on the books which just completely turned me away from ever wanting to think about them again. No desire to ever see the movies. If I want to watch teenage angst I'll go pop in some of the later HP movies, which I haven't seen yet either. XD Also reminds me, I don't think I've seen the last POTC either... He's Captain Jack Sparrow! I should watch that sometime, maybe... Or just go watch the first one again. The first movie in most any series is usually pretty good, everything afterward just seems to be a toss-up... A lot of them just seem thrown together as the movie people try to see how much money they can get out of the franchise or whatever. -_- At least most of the cartoons that have come out recently seem to be pretty decent quality. Going to see the Guardians or whatever once I get feeling better, missed out on watching life of Pi, stupid illness. >< *O.O Rambling....*

I went to the doctor today. He said I have a sinus infection. XD Which I knew I did but yeah. Was kinda funny. Probably didn't need to go see the doctor but at least the visit confirmed what I already knew and also showed that I don't have anything else going on (family is prone to pneumonia and such so being sick for a week I was worried it might turn into that).

Got my mom and nephew sick though. For which I feel pretty bad. Especially my nephew. He's just a bit over 18 months so it's no fun seeing him not feeling well.

I kinda have to force myself to pick up this book. I do find the alien person interesting but so far I'm just like, meh, with it. My biggest nitpick with this book is that she used the Prologue as like, a pre-face to chapter 1 when really everything in the Prologue could've just been inside chapter 1 already and use the Prologue to set the whole thing up, and get the readers started in the world she built. It is better than Twilight though, at least.

...I say but haven't gotten beyond Chapter 4 so god only knows what happens in the other 55 chapters.
