I agree that no one really cares if you graduated high school, I "graduated" from home school because I would have killed myself or someone else had I been left at regular school. When I was recovered I started with community college. That's the diploma I show off.
I don't know if they have it elsewhere but we have telecourses where you watch a TV show at home and meet on campus a few times. Or are there on line classes you can take? Is there something where you can earn a certificate which lets you work in your chosen field without having to take extra classes you don't want/need?
As for my personal suck I hope I'm not getting sick
besides the fact that i accidentally deleted a whole course worth of work i was almost finished doing....
I think its that i fell behind when i got my wisdom teeth out and none of my teachers got work ready for me like i asked them to.... which made me more behind and when i got back they only told me to do the "important assignments" and wont tell me what else i missed or tell me what my mark currently is..... they wont make a list of things i need to hand in. =/ they keep telling me its fine and im not failing yet but i want to know whats going on... i need to know that what im doing matters and i feel i need to do ALL of my work not jsut "the important assignments".... i didnt come back to just pass i came back to do WELL. and theyre trying to slide me by getting me to only do the bare minimum. it pisses me off and makes it difficult to focus on the new assignments. I'm a perfectionist. i cant jsut ignore that im missing work and go every day with no effin idea how im doing.
BLUH. i know that feeling, when i dropped out when i was 17 i felt like i was gunan end up doing something stupid if i stayed there.
also Thanks cirquemom =3 hopefully i can get the file back... but if not i'll find another way to do what i love XD i love cutting and dying hair more than doing anything else in the world XD its kinda weird... my boyfriend has to purposely keep me away from the hair dye isle or it'll be impossible to get me out XD and i tend to stock pile dye until i have enough to put rainbows in my hair like this
and do crazy things.... theres no way i'd let something like high school stop me from doing hair every day XD
I'll work this out no matter what XD i wont give up. following my passion would be better than doing anything else no matter how hard it might be.
lol plus i got new depression pills to try out for a month and hopefully these ones wont make me sick like my other ones did (they said side effect would go away in 2 weeks but after a month they still make me dizzy and sick so my doctor gave me this instead.)
Ok...a couple of things to help you out. First...send what you just wrote about the assignments and how you feel about them to you teachers, assistant principal, principal, and guidance counselor. That will put a fire under their asses to do what is right. I had SEVERAL people out for long periods of time in my classes (mostly because of pregnancies and jail times) and, yes, there were a few times that I just couldn't get all the work together for these kids. You know what I did. Gave them the major assignments to do and left the rest blank. I didn't count any work that I couldn't give them, so my students who were out were always able to pass.
Second, if this doesn't work immediatly look into a GED program through that same school. Almost all schools can help you get a GED or have programs, that are free, that will help you.
Third, my first job in high school was Sally's Beauty Supply. I loved doing hair, expecially dye, and adored working for them. As soon as you can, try getting work at a place like that. They will train you to know the basics, but I suspect you already are passed that. Also, it will give you a chance to socialize with professional hair dressers. It's never to early to make contacts.
I hope some of this helps. I know how the school systems work, or don't work as the case may be, but they aren't there to stop you from getting an education. It actually looks bad on them if you don't graduate, so keep pushing them to work with you.
