I am always astonished by the look and quality of the dolls coming out now. In the summer I saw a ken doll with vitiligo, and now you can buy fashion dolls with natural hair, or intense detailed braids. Some dolls have thicker bodies. Really loving the Rainbow High dolls. Still, I've been "good" and not bought anything from that section.

Ever since seeing Transformers: One , my old love of the series has come alive again. I loved them since the 80s cartoon. I don't want to collect the figures, as I only really love one character, Starscream - so I searched for the perfect Generation 1 model. There are countless iterations of him but one day, watching a Youtube review, I found him. The price point and detail were perfect. He doesn't transform, but that's fine by me.

He is extremely articulated, including his fingers. He has LEDs in his eyes, and 3 different face plates. He comes with a stand, and "blast effect" pieces so it can look like he's launched his rockets or fired his jet engines.
I ordered him back in October. Then my country's post service decided to go on strike.

He's been sitting in their sorting center since the start of November. I am pretty upset about it.

Whoof; hope you can receive him sooner than later.

The Masterpiece line is excellent (and going by product photos for Starscream, he does actually transform); I just wish I could afford it.

He's not the Masterpiece one but a much cheaper https://shop.yolopark.com/products/tran ... pro-series It's the Yolopark Pro Series Starscream. There's a few video reviews of it, comparing it with the Masterpiece one. Some people say they're comparable.

He's gorgeous and I can't wait for him to be in my hands.

Other models I'd love to own is https://showzstore.com/threezero-mdlx-g ... p5006.html

MDLX Starscream? This one also doesn't transform but I love the details. But it's over $100 and well there's some other necessities I'd rather have.

Meanwhile I will pine for my Dreamscream stuck in the post office sorting center for who knows how long.

Went to a little antique/thrift store with my grandparents today. (Also went to Goodwill and got some Barbies in very sad condition, but more on those later.) Got some cute clip on earrings, plus a mini candelabra and a metal dragon figurine!

Shailoh has laid claim to the candelabra and dragon.

Shailoh is VERY happy to have more knickknacks for his hoard. SOMEDAY I'll actually have the time, energy, and space to get photos of all my stuff.

OH? I started reading some fanfic of him and watching reviews of the comics featuring him.
I get the impression that like me, a lot of people believe he's capable of a development arc where he'll become a better person.
As it stands folks seem pretty disappointed when it turns out not to be true, repeatedly.
I'm with the people waiting for a story arc where he becomes a better person somehow lol! In the meantime I love him, even when he's being pretty stupid lol!

I did end up purchasing a smaller non transforming starscream figure. It says it will be here at the end of January.

The postal strike in my country seems to be over, and not for good reasons unfortunately, but I am a little glad it means my fancy Starscream might be coming home soon.

Bought a pair of gorgeous boots yesterday on sale from $109 to $35. I didn’t try them on and I should have because the calves are too narrow so they won’t zip up all the way. I didn’t even think about my calves not fitting, it’s been so long since I bought knee-high boots that don’t fit. And I didn’t think my calves were that fat anymore

I’m actually so disappointed. They are so pretty and were going to replace my pair of gray ones that are falling apart. But I guess they’ll be going back today. I’ll have to see if I can find a similar pair with wider calves somewhere (and hopefully for close to that price).

I wish companies would consider that when they design these boots. We’re not all built like the skinny minis, people!

It might not even be that your calves. I've noticed that companies are starting to make their tall boots REALLY narrow compared to what most people would consider normal. I think because we're reentering that "thin is in" mindset because of all the weight loss drugs that are becoming more easily available.

If you're specifically looking for shoes to fit a wide calf, there's a website called Torrid that might help. My mother used to buy all her wide calfed boots.
