quidam Hehe, thanks for thinking of me. Actually the problem lies in the edit of your post. The knife is almost eight years old (the handle is busting!) and has been sharpened multiple times by my uncle, who definitely knows his way around a blade. It was a cheap, functional knife that served it's purpose, and I replaced it with just the same type. Cheap, functional, all I need is something that cuts and locks in place for safety (the balisong I bought is the newer kind that clicks into place instead of the traditional style where the user would flick a length of cord over the two hollow halves to secure the handle).
The knife edge is so thin it's actually starting to crumble a bit, thus rendering it nearly useless. It was really time for a new knife, this time I just treated myself to an extra one or two. ^_~
OH! Also, kenaiqueen, I know you don't ship Thor/Loki but have you seen the mistaken fanart poster they put out in China? I laughed until I couldn't breathe.

It really makes you wonder what in the world they thought Thor and Loki get up to!!! I haven't seen a marketing gaffe this hilarious in a long time, and I imagine Chinese Thor/Loki fans had their mouths on the ground when they saw that. I know I would be stunned into speechlessness (okay I lied, you'd hear a screech like a dying owl followed by wheezy asthmatic laughter ) though sadly that says more for the comics and action movie industry and the hetero-normative ideal they still push despite the occasional "stunt" with an older or lesser well known hero or heroine (and the abundant homoerotic subtext in various movies, intentional or not), but that's not a rant for this thread, this is a thread to laugh at perhaps the most unintentional ticket-seller that theatre will probably ever see.
