Ay, I know what you mean about the "prize getting dangled" thing. I feel that way about curly doll hair... there is a variety of pre-curled hair that can be curled and still retain its shape. I've found something similar, but the one I want was used for one Liv Doll wig I own, and I cannot for the life of me find out where to get hair like that one. A girl can dream...

But for me, what sucks is looking for a gently-used double-jointed SD. It's proving harder than I anticipated it would be. Grrr, lol.

Found out the wig i want for Ember was homemade, but on the bright side they told me how to make it. Now I just need to figure out how to sew. >.<;

The good news: the chunk of money that was supposed to be here 7 months ago finally arrived yesterday.
The bad news: the doll I was going to purchase once the money came in went out of stock yesterday. The same day. Really? *grumbles*

A similar thing happened to me after Christmas. Once I had my Christmas money deposited, the doll was out of stock.

After a 2- year reprieve, our local JoAnn Fabrics announced that they're closing in June. More jobs lost, and those who craft or sew will have *nothing* here in town now. Bleah.

This will sound like an uber petty suckz, but I honestly feel absolutely gutted by this. The guy who has been there for me since my ex cheated on me, held me when I cried, had late night convos, commissioned a doll from me, is a doctor who geek, who makes me feel okay has a boyfriend, who isn't me. I honestly do not know what to feel because he kept trumpeting the fact that he wasn't ready for a relationship and all that, but on the other hand his ex did treat him like total crap and he deserves to be happy.

I just figured that it was possible I could do that. I'm definitely not looking forward to this weekend where it's his sleepover Birthday party AND the one on one outing to see a comedian he loves. I'll probably just tell him to give my ticket to his new guy to avoid drama.

*retreats to being emo and buying a doll*

Take a deep breath and think of someone else for a little while. Go with him to see the comedian, go to the sleep over, and be a good friend to him. When a quiet moment arises tell him how much you enjoy his company, he's not a mind reader so he might not know how much he means to you. Or he was trying to get a reaction out of you, but you'll never know unless you ask.

Dealing with the icky feelings in life is all part of growing up. You're lucky to have sleep overs to go to.

I can vent about my life here? The last time I had any sort of medical check up was 2 years ago because my awful terrible mother told me I had cancer on my 18th b-day then kicked me out of her house, and I don't know if it's another of her cruel tricks or not. The only close friend I'd ever had ran away WITH my boyfriend(now ex) then came back and tried to pretend it didn't happen, and when I denounced her friendship she took all my other friends with her. After making a new batch of friends the only woman I let near me STOLE my identity all the way to personality and nickname completely replacing me in my new friend group.(this all happened in the timespan of the last 2 years) So I moved in with my dad 4 months ago and still not met or seen a single person my age bracket. I talk more on these doll forums than I have to my boyfriend in months. Idk who I am where I'm going or what I want to but at least i have an interview on Tuesday at a gamestop, the thought of discount videogames and doll money makes me drool.

Deep breath, look forward to the job interview and nailing it, you'll meet plenty of peers there. This is opening a new door and pathway in life. At your age be open to all sorts of changes and experiences, it's going to be a roller coaster, it's going to shape who you are, and you'll end up coming out with a few bumps and bruises but with a smile on your face.

Leave the bad things in the past to the justice of the universe. It will take care of things and wizen up those who need it. Yay job, yay money, yay starting your own great life
