Really glad I told my boss about my slight dyslexia with numbers BEFORE she went out of town. It's not usually apparent, but I will sometimes flip my 6's and 9's, and I'll swap digits in the middle of a multi-digit (more than 5) number, (used to dial wrong numbers all the time that way... you have NO idea how glad I was when phones started letting you dial a number, check if it was correct, and then hit Send...) and it gets worse when I'm stressed. Apparently during the corporate walk-through this passed Thursday, I had a sign with the wrong price and date on a demo cart, and it was caught... she covered for me when it was brought up by the store manager, and said that I mixed up numbers and threw out the new sign, with the correct price on it because of that. It's true as far as it goes, as I've done that before, but it wasn't actually what happened this particular time. But I'd rather her tell a white lie, than get written up (or worse) for something so stupid. As one of the employees said of the corporate big-wigs, "We all sh!t out the same hole."

My boss did say that if that sign was the worst thing that happened, with me working myself into the ground, without a full day off for almost 2 solid weeks, setting up and closing down 2 special events, while handling a new supervisor still in training, then she was more than happy. She gave me a hug and a high-five, and told me to enjoy my well-deserved days off.

Got up at 4 am to catch 7 feral cats in my mom's bathroom. 1 mom cat, and 6 kittens. She's getting them fixed today and I have to help drive them there.

Thank heavens for thick gloves... Biter lived up to her name and bit me several times through the gloves. At one point there were 3 kittens hanging from the screen on the window. Those at least were easy to catch...

Right now one of them, a calico, is making very mournful sounds.

Hehe, I'm having flashbacks to when my cat was a kitten. She was the most feral out of the litter we adopted... She had to be quarantined at first because she had fleas and her siblings didn't and she made quite a racket about that, and she too tried to take a piece out of my dad's work gloves when he took her to the vet the first time (she managed to put holes in it, at least)

Just curious, is your mom part of a TNR program, or just adopting some feral cats?

Calicos are overdramatic lol, but I adore them (mine is currently playing nursemaid, curled up next to me purring while I hack up a lung). But man, that does not sound like fun, Izabeth!

My mom is actually just getting the m spayed and neutered by MNSnap. She's supposed to release them back into the wild, but she doesn't want to do that (except to the mom). We got them all fixed now and they're recovering.

Sadly I stupidly put Biter into the broken-ish carrier and when I picked it up to take her to the car, it popped open and the door fell out. Biter saw that as an opportunity to escape so I grabbed her and she bit straight through my finger by the cuticle. I managed to get her back into the carrier and close it again, but not without leaving a huge bloodstain on the floor. Since then I've cleaned the cut, stuck my finger in 90% isopropyl alcohol (thank heavens for dolls!), and covered it in neosporin. Yesterday my finger was super swollen, but it feels much better today.

Yikes! Hopefully nothing gets infected, although it sounds like you took care of it well. Never had a cat bite me, but my cats have left nice long scratches all over my legs from their claws. Mostly due to them sleeping in my lap, deciding suddenly they didn't want to be there anymore, and digging claws in while jumping off and leaving me no time to prepare (such as lifting them from my lap BEFORE they can jump). It never fails to amaze me how one moment they can be deeply asleep, but 1.5 seconds later they're using me as a human springboard. X__x

And I was browsing tablets yesterday on Amazon and Samsung has released a Galaxy Note 10.1. I've heard of the Galaxy Note phone, but a tablet? O_O Me wants! It has a stylus. Like, the kind of pointy-tip stylus used for the phone version, but for a tablet. Which means I could hand-write and draw and be ACCURATE about it. I hate those stupid rubber-tip stylus's they sell for standard tablets. They're so bulky and I can never match up properly, but pointy tips don't exist (trust me, I've looked). Until now!

Yes. Just as soon as I finish paying off the Fairyland elf Shiwoo I've got on layaway, so starting to save for the Note. Just because of the stylus. Yep. Just for that (although I hear the rest of it is pretty durned awesome, too). <3

I am seriously considering making a webcomic review show. my dad already has the recording equipment and a basic video editing program and I read enough webcomics I literally have enough material to do a show every week for a year. I have a good idea of the format too.

Well, I went to the dentist yesterday and I told them about the cat bite, so they sent me to Urgent Care to get it checked out. 1 tetanus and 5 rabies shots later I was good to go home. But I need more rabies shots over the next 2 weeks. Yay.
