I've never had a problem with most "pests" in the house - the cats take care of them well enough - but guh. When I was at university, our bathroom had silverfish. Those things are the one pest that makes my skin crawl.

I don't trust any type of spider. If I ever get bit, I pray I don't, I'll probably call my doctor panicking over it. lol

In other news, put our broken lawn mower out front and within 2 hours it was gone already.

Weening off of Meds - It's tricky business. If I forget to take one of mine, I immediately go into withdrawal with dizzy spells, grouchiness, and etc, the whole nine yards (is that the right saying?). Good luck with your weening! If you do it slow enough you should be just fine.

Creepy Crawlers - I like most spiders, though some still freak me out so I simply don't bother them. At work there's so many spiders, and I end up cleaning a lot of them away. I don't like most bugs though, except for butterflies and dragonflies. Those I like. My magazine boss had a pet tarantula when she was a kid that she saved from a highway. He loved her so much, and allowed her to sleep in since her mom was terrified of the spider. Ants I hate though.

It cooled down for a while here, then yesterday it was back at 95º and today it'll only be 69º while tomorrow it's back in the 80ºs. Darn you Minnesota and your weird weather!!

Changing the carpet here did a lot, it apparently was cement grey when it went in, asphalt black when it came out ~shudder~. And in a way you want centipedes, they eat the other bugs.

For the most part I like my house's creepie-crawlies.
I have a baby centipede that seems to be cleaning its antenna every time I see it. For some reason it is just cute beyond words! And silverfish fascinate me.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) my cats share my extreme fascination with the crawlies. At least twice a week I find random legs strewn about my bathroom from their latest encounter with a centipede.
Horrible fact that I witnessed first hand: centipedes are capable of squealing like mice if they become injured. Its a bit unsettling....

If you spray insecticide on house centipedes (which I won't do because I think they're cool) they will sever their own legs one by one until they die...

Finally snagged a good picture of my "pest control"



This one is a little smaller than Little John, which I've affectionately named the seven inch gecko that seems to like hanging out behind my fiance's wall-mounted speaker. There also at least four babies running around.
