You know what doesn't make sense? DeviantArt and their non loading images 90% of the time.
I know why they don't load; when an advertisement is blocked it prevents all images on that page from coming up on my computer. This only happens in DA and their suggestion is to turn off any adblockers or buy a premium account to have the advertising disabled for the duration of your premium account.

I don't let ad-sites set cookies on my machine and I've experienced that phenomenon too. A page will "stop" loading waiting for the ad-site to up load it's crap, which doesn't happen so the browser just sits there with a blank screen. One thing I've found that works for me in many of these instances is to hit the browser's stop button to stop the loading process, then hit reload. Most of the time the page comes right up.

I had a weird as heck nightmare... I've looked up a bunch of info on snakes in dreams, and while some parts feel right, others don't. I wish I could find my animal shaman book.

What do snakes mean to you personally? Could they be standing for something that your personal mythos has substituted snakes for? Don't look to other peoples' ideas for dreams much beyond general things from your culture.

I've considered that, but honestly, I don't have much opinion on snakes. They don't bother me, I don't bother them. I have a healthy respect for them, and I won't interfere with them if they aren't bothering me. This is much like most other animals. I have links with certain totems; wolf is my strongest; my guardian is a wolf, and I see them frequently in dreams, followed by tiger. The rest are subtle, and don't have a great influence in my life; owl, osprey, and white tailed deer. But snakes get about as much reaction from me as woodpeckers. They're neat to see, but otherwise unremarkable.

The part that I'm stuck on is not only the bite itself, but the fact that I forced the snake to then bite it's own tail. It feels significant.

See if Oroboros has meaning to you, or is something going on in your life that is or could be 'going in circles'? Maybe because it bit you something went wrong and you want punishment to be given.

I don't generally put too much stock in my dreams. If I did I would be pretty messed up. Of course there are exceptions. There are always exceptions.

Same here, Yarwel. I have nightmares regularly; very rarely do I have "good dreams". Most of the time, while yes, they scare the crap out of me when I wake up, I am aware enough to know they are just dreams. But I woke up this time with a definite feeling of significance.

I did look up Oroboros, and what seems to be sticking is the starting over, new beginnings... I think there is something I need to force to reset, or begin again, and I think the fact that I taped the snake's head in place means that once I get this new start, I want it to stay that way.

The other part that seems to be significant to me is that, in the house of mirrors, I couldn't see my reflection on any of them.

I tend to have very strange dreams...... a lot of the time I'll have dreams about my teeth falling out, or not being able to turn a light, not being able to turn off a TV or radio, or not being able to shut a door.

My dreams tend to be very...macabre. Everything from people hanging themselves to biting off their own thumbs with a sadistic smile. Also, lots of fleeing from things. Family members determined to kill me. Crazy biker dudes (also trying to kill me). Zombies. Lots of zombies. Many times I try to hide in closets or rooms or houses but when I try to lock the door, those on the other side hear the lock click, and discover that's where I am, and break the door down. Those are also scary.... Lots of falling dreams. Quite a few searching dreams. Some of them leave bigger impressions than others. Sometimes I only remember the feeling of being terrified of something, but nothing of the actual dream. I recognize the subconscious themes for what they are, and in many cases, I can't do anything about the causes, so I accept that my subconscious is just trying to get the stress out, and move on.

is it weird, that despite the dreams I have that are prolly disturbing to other people don't bother me at all? bashing in peoples heads, getting my own bashed in... somehow I know its not reality or not me and if it gets kinda intense I can wake myself up.
its weird tho, I have dreams about eating stuff. and I don't get as much of a taste as the mouth feel of something? like eating steak fries and the texture of their insides nomnomnomnom. then I wake up hungry.
