But the packaging clearly illustrates an open egg with the toy inside and secondly the toy is not within the edible part of the chocolate. I think the real danger is giving this to a tiny child and not supervising which is probably what has happened on numerous occations.

I don't like Kinder Eggs now (white chocolate with waxy milk chocolate on the outside? yuckkers) but when I was a little kid my mom used to get them for me as a treat once a week. She would help me put the little toys together and we had a tiny collection of them.

Man - didn't they ban those magnet toys recently too due to swallowing hazard? Buckyballs? Even though it clearly states on the package that it isn't a toy meant for children.

~But all toys are for children and all animation is Disney!~ So kids do you want to watch Animal Farm, Heavy Metal, or Julian Lennon in furry David Copperfield? How about some Henson puppet improv? That hot dog said what?

Yeah, one bad apple ruins the whole batch. I would love to have those building sets that used magnet balls for joints. Could you imagine how neat and helpful that would be in doll making?

DollyKim, what do you mean when you say "Evelien said in a way.", I'm sorry, I don't understand that sentence.

They still have toys in cereal boxs. The toy just isn't in the cereal anymore.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Damn. I miss those things - they were my favorite things to pick up at university; not just chocolate but something to play with too! (sometimes when you're drowning in Mayhew, childish pleasure is better than anything else.) I was tempted to have some friends send me some, too.

I'm sure you could... here is the recipe I use: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/barm-brack ... ome%20Page

I don't put in the candied citron, simply because it's not the easiest to find out here in the middle of nowhere.

I meant you explained the situation well. I should have typed "Evelien said it in a way".

Trust me, Evelien, Cirquemom didn't mean any offense to you or your country - it was actually directed at our country our our overtly litigious nature in the US.

Thanks for explaining Kim, I wasn't sure.
Kirahfaye, I hope that's the case. I really didn't want to start a riot but I'm seriously offended. The Netherlands are such a tiny country so people tend to forget about us, but we're really modern and progressed and I think we generally have it better than Americans with our social system and health insurance and everything... Plus I am GLAD people don't sue companies for everything and think for themselves. So every time I spot the teeniest bit of American arrogance I get annoyed. :P I think I just felt personally attacked there.

no one ever said that the netherlands were stupid because they had less lawyers. I think the implication was that the people in the netherlands weren't stupid as americans and thus didn't need lawyers to sue everyone when someone lacked the common sense to tell their kids to not eat the laundry detergent because it was brightly colored.
