I tend to agree with Lamia on that one. How will kids develop any common sense at all, if they're not allowed near the stuff that might make them have to actually think about what they're doing?

You guys are soooooo right. Parents freak out when I tell them that I was washing my cloths, cooking my food, and walking myself to the bus stop at the tender age of 8!! They look at me like I was some abandoned child. Sorry folks, I didn't raise myself, but my mom did TEACH me self reliance. Now I teach teenagers that have never had to lift a finger in their households. It's horrible. I have to teach teens how to think for themselves, because their parents have thought for them their entire lives.

I think what's getting me the most right now is parents being unable to accept that their kid could POSSIBLE be wrong, and do something wrong. I keep reading stories of these kids who do horrible things to others but their parents simply refuse to think their kid was in any way wrong and then nothing gets done to correct the problem.

I already grew up with a girl who was just about handed everything because her parents were always working; she grew into a real peach. Just about blamed all her problems on everyone else and never took responsibility for her actions. I remember her mom real well and it makes me sad because I know she tried; she just had a demanding job that left her too exhausted. Don't even ask about the dad... >_< It was easier to just give in then fight half the time- I was there for some of the arguments. It all eventually turned into "Well ok, just don't do that next time."

There's a lot of parents out there who need help but don't get the help, and then whatever they do do for the kids ends up being criticized by others. Basically, I think people are afraid to raise their kids now because someone might call CPS on them for something outlandish. :/

Seems to me lots of people are having kids because they think they should, and then have no clue how to raise them into respectable adults.

(word vomit. I have a lot of thoughts on the subject >_< )

I'm sadly waiting to hear that's the case with a couple of the missing/murdered girl cases Nancy Grace has been covering. Both done by teens, one because they wanted her bicycle. My sister has a pass the buck mentality and smother let her get away with passing it to me a lot simply because I was older. Now we could never work on the same job together because I'm certain she'd never do her end and I'd take the fall. It's left me with that worry about anyone else.

To get back to The Kids Are Alright... I've lost me nerve. Anyone ever rerooted or modded a doll then wished they hadn't? Not that you did a bad job just that it didn't turn out the way you were expecting? I think I've learned my lesson with Kierra (Ghoulia) not to reroot during one of my "spells" but she does look pretty and a solution has been found!

I saw an old guy in the subway who was dragging part of a female mannequin behind him today.

We at the Easy Coast are going to get slammed by a "Snoreastercane." Stay safe, stay indoors, and be prepared fellow East Coasters!

When two storm systems collide: Frankenstorm!!!!!!

Out of all the mess, we'll at least get a cool name. "I survived the Frankenstorm." T-shirts will hit shelves weeks after.
