*ears perk*

Did someone say snuggly octopus? Where might I find one of these creatures?

It was actually supposed to be a dog toy.. but I claimed dibs? >.< I got it at a pet store, but here is it online:

A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Goodwill is a second-hand/thrift store, somewhat like Salvation Army, though I don't know if they have those in the Netherlands either. Basically, you donate anything you don't want or need anymore, and the store sells it at a low price. It's intended to be a place where those who don't have much money can get things like clothes, dishes, decorative items, bedclothes, books, even furniture. But it's also a great place to find interesting odds and ends, and clothes to repurpose into things. I found a gorgeous table runner once that I'm turning into a tabbard for a costume, and a pretty white crinkle shirt with silver and gold threads that I'm making into a dress for one of my dolls.

Oh, cool, yes, I think we have the Salvation Army here too, it's called Het Leger Des Heils ^^. Don't know if they have thrift stores though. But here all thrift stores are about dropping off stuff you don't need so that they can be sold at low prices. :)

Hehe yeah, I think what makes Salvation Army and Goodwill different is that they're chains, and they're either non-profit, or minimum profit. I don't remember. I know there are collection bins with the appropriate logo on them in places like grocery stores and fire departments.

Just bought a *third* Nendoroid.... to kit-bash into Grell Sutclif from Black Butler.

Ciel is currently en-route. In preparation, Sebas-chan nendoroid is trying to throw my bitty-bitsus off their section of the dollieh shelf. Sebbie really is one 'heck' of a nendoroid. >.>;;;;

Got smacked with inspiration at a fabric store today. I found some fabric that looks just like a cloudy sky as it starts to rain. It has a very long eyelet/embroidered hem. There should be enough here to make my 1/4 girl a long summer dress and a petticoat.

A couple of days ago I caved and bought some sneaker style air fresheners from the dollar store. They were both left feet but after some modification they are a proper pair now. The air freshener part has to be manually inserted so I just left those on the bus I took home. (IT REALLY NEEDED IT GUYS. Public transportation smells bad man.)

I said I wouldn't but I did anyway! Bought fabric. I have plenty of fabric, really I do. But nothing like this

It is more olive than in this picture and you can hardly see the pretty metallic stamping.

It is a lovely lightweight microsuede, which will stand in perfectly for velvet, for an 1930s evening dress for The Doll (who is still more than a month away!)

I'll do the view on the right.

I'm planning on altering the pattern somewhat (more than just for fit) so this will be a fun project!

Of course, I also bought several doll clothes patterns but who's counting!
