One of my orders (no idea which) from abroad was delivered at my neighbours' house last Wednesday, but because it took so long for me to come pick it up (I was away from home for almost a week) they let their 5-year old son 'bring it to me' and he left it on my doorstep. And now it's gone -_-

I've ordered so many small thingies from all around the world, that I have absolutely NO idea what was in the package :(

My Graphic Design Principals class was canceled because I was the only one who signed up, & my math class wanted me to buy +$300 in books. I've withdrawn from the math class to take it another semester when I can save up for the book expense. So my class schedule is now: Film Appreciation, and Speech and Communication Principals. Not what I was aiming for, but still classes I need to take for my major.

Before you freak out on book prices check Amazon, Powell's and Alibris. Also see if any of them come in e-versions. I saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars on used college textbooks on Amazon and Powell's for Paul when he was going to Rogers College.

Have you tried looking into renting the textbooks? Rental companies like Chegg are pretty neat if you're just taking the class to fulfill general education requirements.

I agree with those above. I have to ask, what is this math class? And what book is it? I majored in Mathematics but my most expensive book was for Number Theory at $100.

$75 for an astronomy book in 1993 for a telecourse produced in the early 80s before Voyager 2 had finished, Hubble was launched, comets hit Jupiter, and we discovered the Earth wasn't the center of the universe... Is it possible to buy a used one off someone?

I have grants to pay for my books, but they only gave me $150 for my books this semester, and one book alone for that math class was $175. Plus I was supposed to some how magically come up with the funds for an over $100 calculator. But now that I've swapped classes I'm definitely within the book voucher costs thankfully. And then I remembered to try and sell my one book I had from last semester back to amazon, it's worth $1 sell back, because a new version came out in January. I am so happy I'm getting an education, but damn it's been an uphill climb the whole way.

My ceiling fan blew up today. While I was underneath it writing my story, not only am I thoroughly terrified of every electrical object in the house (including my computer) but I no longer have a light.

I don't even use the light, but now that its gone. I want my light, darn it!

Amelia's correct head showed up today while I was at work, and my BF couldn't bother going to answer the door, now I have to wait to go pick it up at the post office tomorrow morning!

Finally got Amelia all put together today, and... she keeps tilting to one side. Also managed to slice a good chunk of my finger off while getting ready to have a garage sale today.

That's easy. You need to even up the stringing. You have too much tension on one side. Just keep pulling on the foot on the tight side until she evens up.
