bleh, the shipping for my doll turned out to be about fifty dollars via EMS.

more than I was hoping, but at least I've got a job now to cover the cost 8|

and it at least seems to be in the reasonable shipping range for dolls.

Definitely getting a 30% pay cut unless something happens, long story short so far I'm on the hook for their problem which caused an overpayment, yay me. There goes most of my doll and crazy whim project monies. I know things could be much worse, it's just part of the not fair stress of this year. Stupid moving BS and all.

I have a roof over my head, half a floor under my feet, and occasional food in my stomach so I'm in no real place to complain.

Now it's our turn (the Gulf Coast) to get hit by bad weather. At least we're sort of used to it down here.

The alert sirens have been going off every hour or so, roughly, all day long. They're old air raid sirens and are now used for flash flood warnings, tornado warnings and the like. We're under a tornado warning as I type this.

The worst part is we haven't even gotten close to getting the really bad stuff from TS Lee yet. That comes on Monday.

Again, at least we're used to this unlike the poor people up in New England.

Yep. I'm starting to feel a bit water-logged already. On the positive side, I've been able to get a major overhaul of my front bedroom underway, so I should have a vastly improved set up for my hobby stuff by the time this thing moves out. And hey, it's not like all that yard work that's being delayed by this is going anywhere!

And so, the Missus and I were sleeping late this morning because it's raining buckets and there's really nothing else to do. Until we suddenly get slammed by this brief, heavy thunderstorm and the tornado sirens start blaring. That didn't last long but we're awake now!

Ugh, I HATE those sirens. I mean, I know they're needed, but I lived for twenty years in West Mobile without a tornado siren waking me up at 3:22 AM and I managed to survive. They've been going off every couple of hours here where I live now in Midtown and between that and the Emergency Weather Alerts on the television my bad ear's ringing worse than Paris Hilton's cellphone. Not that the low pressure's any help in that regard.

I opened the kitchen pantry to pull out my kitchen grain mill so I could grind some flower to make pizza and discovered that we apparently have a moth egg/larva infestation. In my mill. Trying so hard not to freak out and fix the situation with out damaging the appliance.

Seems WalMart likes to torture me with their Monster High stuff and make me pissed by not caring for their betta fish correctly.

One of these days I will so lose it! (But for now I will be plotting ways to get the stuff I want from MH...I need to get the Fearleading outfit pack and the Maul one too for mostly the shoes.)
