I'm back.

We lost power at the house during the hurricane and shortly after everything started flooding, we had to go to my Uncle's, who also didn't have power until recently, but he wasn't flooded at least.
I went back home today and there's so much water everywhere.

A lot of my doll stuff got flooded so I'll have to get Bryn and Viv new clothes. :?

I also have to go back to physical therapy for my wrist, which is going to suck. Physical therapy hurts

@ Lexagon: Phew! I'm glad you are okay! I was worried. :) Sorry about all your items that have water damage. I hope nothing irreplaceable got damaged.

As for me... I don't even know what to do! I've been selling some things on ebay, and last week and a half ago I sold an old disney store plush. I mailed it out on Monday (the 29th) and since about Thursday the buyer has been emailing me everyday telling me that the package isn't there yet! EVERY DAY. Yesterday, she opens up a claim, saying that I won't resolve the problem and she hasn't received her item yet!! The tracking is very much active, and was last updated yesterday. I checked on a map and it's only about 200 miles away from her location.
The package has been in transit for only 6/7 business days (depending on when it left this post office), I just don't understand how that could equal opening a claim already.. Especially, because the tracking is still making updates. She knew it was being sent first class when she bought it. Because of the claim, paypal has already taken the money out of my bank account. ;( I hope I get the money back, she is almost a thief.
I have been helpful and nice and polite. I just don't get it. I have 100% feedback everywhere, and now I have a negative. I'm upset.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? How did you work it out?

Oh my god. I hate those damn things. I guess they are millers? They are little moth things that have larva that make a 'web' type thing in food. We had them bad when we moved into the new house (nice thing the previous owner let us not know), the moths and creepy larva would be hanging out around the ceiling sometimes! I'd get the vacuum and suck those guys up. (all most said f**kers there, hmm, I really hate those things) We had to start keeping all our pasta, flour, sugar, breads etc in the fridge for a while and I'd squish them and vacuum all the time. Threw out so much food. They finally all died.

Oh man, I remember when they would bore holes inside of the ramen packets to get to the noodles. GROSS. ugh.

I'm almost postiive my Obitsu's head is lost in the mail ;_; I sent it from canada to the US on the 17th/18th of august. Threeee weeeeeks.

It usually takes one or two weeks. It's not a huge loss costwise (6 dollars for the head, 6 for the eyes, and another 6 for the wig...) but it's really really sad, because it's the head of my first dolly ;_; I hope she shows up at the faceup artist someday.

awww... that's awful. I wish you could make a claim against her claim. I hope you get your money back! Is she not responding to email or checking the tracking herself?

(((Lexagon)))
So glad you're okay. Stuff can be replaced but never people. Sorry about the physical therapy. A necessary evil with the emphasis on evil.

(((kittyasauras))) What VV said. And folks need to have some patience. We had a holiday and that throws off the schedule with the postal system. I can't believe she already left you a negative feedback. You can leave your own notes and may be able to get it removed since you've got a tracking record.

(((Skitterbug)))) It takes longer sometimes for stuff to get into the US from Canada than it does going the opposite way. When I worked with shipping we had an entire pallet that got held up at the border for a week. So, have faith!

I'm tewtally giving out free hugs to everyone that needs 'em. Hubby had a skin cancer thing and we had the MOHS surgery today. Everything's clear and now all he has to do is heal up and have an awesome scar. I've been tied up in knots all day and am just now able to calm down now that it's all over. I know that this kind of skin cancer is easily taken care of when caught and fixed at this early stage but it scared the crap outta me. I can deal with my own diseases and pain all day long but I can't stand the idea of him suffering.

I ended up with a 6 stitch scar on my arm that used to be a mole almost 20 years ago. It wasn't cancer but it was suspicious enough. Everything will be fine, just watch how much sun everyone gets.

Instead of worrying start thinking of really cool ways he ended up with the scar, like defending the homestead from pirates or something.

That's what my friend did when she broke her foot - came up with the most ridiculous answers to what happened
