In the process of buying an Obitsu 60cm female. I should have the purchase complete by the end of August. The Parabox Gretel head will be getting a new 50cm Obitsu body and pointy Gretel Elf ears. The body is going to be given a gender reassignment, and will wind up as Z. Yamamoto's musical collaborator Gareth Moore. The Elf girl is no ordinary elf girl...she's my Traveller character from almost 30 years ago (shriek!) named Thareen Penumbra. She's half elf-half human, and a grey Jedi. And she kicks major ass. She will be the first big doll that is not part of the ongoing drama with Z, Yumiko, Namiko and their respective family and circle of friends.

I find myself with 2 dolls in layaway, a Benny at Iplehouse and an Orient doll Tae on the marketplace. With shipping that is almost $800 worth of dolls. OMG how did that happen?

I am sooo jealous of that Benny. She's beautiful!

I have a Lishe on layaway. I've wanted one for a long time, and found one for a great price in the DoA marketplace. Unusual since IMHO most of the dolls there are overpriced. Then I am waiting for a Customhouse Cebee and free Iriya head (since January 4th), plus the Customhouse Chocofondue set of Hani and Uri in vinyl. Customhouse is crazy slow- it has been almost six months since I ordered the Cebee. Still no shipping date.

Other than that, I am finding myself realllly jonesing after a 3-part Obitsu body (with the hinge joints) to put my Elfdoll Red's head on for photostories. Posing him with six Obitsus convinced me. They were a delight,he was a pain in the behind.

My "moar dollhies now" voice is screaching for a pair of DZ 70cm jointed hands for Aatu. I keep trying to tell it that I want a B&N Nook, but it's not listening.

I found some on ebay, I wonder if Emory can get them still....

Get an Ipad and the free Nook app, there's free apps for all the book stores, get a free pdf reader and you can read free Google books. The Ipad is like an Ereader romanced a netbook.

And I think I saw jointed hands on the Dolzone site still.

The thing is, I already have a laptop, I just got it not too long ago in fact. I don't want to throw down another $400+ after the laptop's $600. The iPad, while awesome, would be redundant. Also, the Nook is only $150 compared to $400+ for the iPad. If I'm spending $400+ I'm buying a new TV, or a PS3 and Wii, or even a new SD doll. Add on to it that fact that the iPad is still a glossy screen which is hard on my eyes when I'm wanting to read for long periods of time, so the Nook (or any e-reader's) epaper/eink screen is much more forgiving.

Ah, I have a lap top too but went with the pad because I wanted a reader and something to type on on the got. I don't have a phone and it uses Pages like the lap top, as well as being able to show pictures of my artwork and dolls and examples of my editing work but I've never gone on line with i :P My last PC was a netbook so I got used to being able to carry a little critter around to type on.

E-readers are nice for being able to have a zillion books at hand. Still check out Google books, I picked up some classics I might never have read otherwise. Right now it's Anne of Green Gables.

As for the new dolls I had to fight myself very hard not to get Monster High. Maybe if the come on sale.

I must agree with the "I need more dollies" voice in my head. I've already talked my husband into the BBB Mu - and next is either going to be one of the 70cm boys for Aimee...and a few 1/6 Obitsus and probably another Hujoo or two...

*sigh*

He's going to fall over when I give him the COMPLETE list. lmao!

If I were to choose something other than dolls, I'd like to have a camera with more megapixels and a sharper range for macro shots.
My what big EYES you have!

Geh. The voice kicked me backside when I happened to stumble upon a Souldoll Little Kimmy in the marketplace. I think I was looking for extra parts for my Littlefee, like wings and ears, and then I was thinking how much I'd love to get Lree back so I should just check offhand what a Souldoll Little would go for (with no intention of actually buying it yet), so I searched for Souldoll Jandi and THERE HE WAS.

"One of the few resin 1/6 male dolls in existance!" the Voice said. "Discontinued on Souldoll!" it told me. "If you wait to decide, it'll be snatched up and gone and who KNOWS if/when you'd find another one since there only seems to be three or four owners on DOA in the first place!" it insisted.

Yeah. Who could argue with logic like that? ^^;

(For the record, I was told there were several other queries right after, but mine came first so I had to decide ASAP if I wanted him or not. So the voice was RIGHT, durnit).
