In other thoughts, I'm thinking of doing a face up tutorial using a Monster High Clawdeen. Thoughts?

That's brilliant news!
Also YES PLEASE!! MH face up tutorial. It will be another inch in my glacially progressing faceup progress.

Down to our last house, if the offer isn't accepted we stay where we are for awhile, I get to paint, start my doll projects, and never believe we're moving until we're renting a truck. Quite positive now the relator hasn't put in offers on most of the places we looked at, if any, and I'm glad he isn't getting paid for his non work. If the offer is accepted the dolls and I get two rooms to share but the access to the laundry and garage are via the dolls' room. But it will be our house and quite possibly my forebber home, nice neighborhood, nice view.

It sucks that this is going so badly Kim. I'm sending you my best wishes for a quick, positive resolution.

Thanks. In the grand scheme of the world I have a home, a job, food, a car that still runs ~touch wood paneling~ and no debt or major health problems. It does reinforce my past experience, as Dr Phil would put it, that counting on other people to "help" gets little to nothing done. Everyone who's "helped" has ended up wasting our time.

If there's no new house to be had I'm going to ask myself what was the purpose in putting projects and other "work" on hold for six months. As Jim Henson told his son Brian, who could take a Red Bull to calm down, 'no time is wasted time'.

Thanks! :D

I'm just waiting for some spare cash to come buy, cuz I want to grab another Clawdeen to put my triclops back on. Should my tutorial include the shadings and shiz I used to do on my Obitsus or would a more stylised tutorial be useful? I don't intend to mix this Clawdeen with the others... (Though I think being more detailed would be easier in the Long run xD)

Also, I was flicking through Flickr and came across a doll hybrid with an uber weird skintone put on a clear Obitsu... Which got me thinking about Deadward, since he's ungodly pale... Now I'm looking at the Clear Male Obitsu and thinking if I cut off his original neck and glue it into the neck socket of the body, Deadward would be a cool, morose cyborg figure...

Of course Junkyspot is sold out of them...

I'd say go full out for the tutorial.

As for Deadwood if you have a regular Obitsu and feel good about the neck that sounds like an interesting solution. Otherwise the spare neck is Dragon/DML size and is almost as wide as his jaw. He'd be rather thick necked. The Triad Samourai Champloo I used for Jimmy is a close skin tone match and it has a full neck post.

I still have the torso of a regular Obitsu (his parts are now on other dolls around the world, haha) and I figure the best solution isn't to use of the included neck pieces, but rather, I cut up his original body and stick his neck in the crater there, so I know the neck will fit the head and such, haha.

Gosh this sounds morbid, but I really want Deadward to get a body xD I figure crazy cyborg would be a cool idea...

What I understand is going on with the very last house we've looked at and put an offer on: With a second look there is obvious water damage and mold in the garage along the wall that it shares with what would be the dolls' room and my office. There is a general damp smell in the room and a thick trail of ants who have decided to nest. The sellers have offered an allowance to fix a broken window but between looks someone decided to kick in the garage door.

Not one dime of money has changed hands. It's hoped an inspector from our lender will be out with our relator next week. That inspector will not let things go forward if there is an indoor swimming pool and repairs can't/won't be made to a certain level. No repairs no house we stay where we are, haven't given our notice yet and the owner has no idea we even want to move.

I am in somewhat of a holding pattern mentally, spiritually, and everything else but the dolls. I look forward to getting my 11cm Obitsu.

I'm so sorry, Dollykim. I know this must be so nerve-wracking.
Water problems, though, are something you do not need. They have a tendency to linger forever, and they are not fun. I'm glad no money has changed hands. Frustrating as it all is, you want a house you can be happy in, no matter how long it takes.
