Misty, you are so our Google maven!

I'm excited that we found a doll meet-up friend who makes costumes and was willing to part with (for a decent price) a Black Butler Ceil ball gown that she had made for herself. Not for me, but for my daughter. The costume has to be seriously taken in (the gown looks to be about a size 10 and Joy is a 3/5). Now we just have to order the wig and find some opera length black gloves and she'll be set for cons for the next couple of years! LOL!

Having MADE that particular costume from the ground up... a decent price is a steal! Took me 5 months and I don't want to think about how many hours of work. ^_~

So, I have ordered my first SD boy. :D (does happy little dance of joy) Unfortunately, he'll probably be coming in while I'm at camp. Sigh, well, at least he'll be in the tender care of someone I trust not to let anything happen to him. I'm so exited, and it makes me want to go home in between camps just to see him. Akane will be quite happy seeing as how he's been screaming for a brother for months. :D

I fixed Bryn's faceup after I accidentally washed off her original factory one.

It looks sooooo much better than her old one, and the factory one. I'm so happy I didn't hurt her face.

Yeah, Corey says she thinks she used about 40 yards of fabric for it (and will probably lose 20 yds to fit Joy - LOL). And the same costume at Nico Nico . . . well, it can't even come close.

So extra fabric for a doll sized version? And pics please, I have no idea what costume you're talking about.

Here you go... we are talking about the pink fluffy thing...

Image

I purchased the hoop skirt; made the chemise, petticoat, corset, underskirt, and gown; bought the gloves, wig, and was given the granny boots. Unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of just me. Oh and the girl to the far left is Takahirokumiko (mother of Akane) and Madame Red there is the new doll mommy to that 23 cm obitsu that I posted over at JS.

I'm really picky about detail for my cosplay.

Thank you for your help VIctoria! I think they are kidskin, or doeskin (I'm having trouble distinguishing the two). They are quite discolored in a few spots, and there are a few rough patches on them. I'm hoping even if I can't salvage them enough to add to my wardrobe, I can at least clean them up enough were they look nice. :)

Unlike a certain ex-forum member accused me of, I don't "think I know it all" I just know how to work a Boolean search engine. :D

The last bit of tax money that Japan owes me is on its way now! *dances* It will be enough for SDCC AND for some extras (possibly an extra named Nangong). :D

I'm so excited. :D
