Yep, Kodansha is doing a re-release. I'm hoping that the anime is going to get re-released as well. I don't know who the rights would go to, though. I think ADV had it last time.

The rumors are that FUNmation is the one that is gunning for it this time. Of course that doesn't mean anything, but they seem to be the number 1 most likely if it ever does get back to the US.

They'll cover up the Starlights and everything "sexy" but you can have all the violence you want in the US, go figure. My other Animae pleasures are Battle of the Planets, I lucked out and got a DVD set that includes subtitled versions of the original Gatchaman episodes, and Robotech Macross. Just a simple DVD set of that. I got a Cpt Harlock and a handfull of other things like Starbirds and the relaunch of Cyborg 009 when the movie store around the corner from us sold off most of it's older stuff.

You kids have it lucky. Back before the internet and when you only had 2 channels on the TV you had to get up six hours before you went to bed, put the rabbit ears in viewing position, make sure the tin foil didn't fall off, and wonder WTF was up with Zoltar/Berg Katse with your other school aged friends. And Rick Hunter was your first cartoon boyfriend and you didn't have any boy dolls except for the creepy Michael Jackson doll and...

I've never seen battle of the planets, or Gatchaman, but I've seen all the Robotech episodes. I'm actually re-watching them on netflix, I have four episodes left tonight to finish it off. My favorite characters are Max Sterling, and Lancer, but that could most likely be because they are voiced by Cam Clarke. XD

You must see Battle of the Planets, skip the 94 OAV it misses the charm. Mix classic Tatsunoko animation with classic American voice artists. Some of the violence is chopped out and it's not as "deep" character wise but for what and when it's wonderful. It opened the door for Robotech but outside of a couple of two part episodes wasn't a serial. And there's a kick about Zoltar/Berg Catse I don't want to spoil.

Netflix doesn't have it, subbed or dubbed. They have the three movies on "Save Mode", and they've been like that for years, and won't be available until Sailor Moon is relicensed to a anime company. I have a website that has the episodes subbed that can be downloaded, I'll PM it you(it's also a really nice Sailor Moon enclyopedia site, which is what I usually use it for). Since it isn't licensed atm you can also youtube it. Youtube has a most the episodes, they are in parts though, and all from different users. That might be better then downloading.

I was about five when I fell in love with Sailor Moon too.
