I finally got to go shopping for my poor, neglected 1/6s!! I bought a Bratz ("Bratz Rock"), to mug for her clothing...and maybe her hair, since it's supposed to glow in the dark. BUT. Imagine my surprise when, in stripping her of her skinny jeans, I find that she is JOINTED!!! I didn't know Bratz made jointed dolls...so I feel like an idiot for not noticing that sign on the box that said "Hundreds of poses!", and for completely overlooking the joints plainly visible in her wrists...but now I have another spare body!

That's totally awesome, DK! Best of all is that if something goes pear-shaped with this lease house you'll be able to get out of it, but if it's a winner you can buy it!
All you damn kids get offa my lawn!

So far it looks like we'll be going on a test drive with this house as our lease must be a minimum of 1 year. By then we'll know if we want to consider buying it, if the price doesn't sky rocket, or keep leasing and looking elsewhere to buy.

I wouldn't want to move at all except this house has sinking floors + living on a highway and shaking with every truck/bus that goes by + steadily declining neighborhood + sidewalks going in right under your bedroom windows whether you like it or not... I will miss having a Michaels, Boarders, Target, Jo Ann, and TRU in walking distance but perhaps my wallet won't :p So this chapter closes and the dolls and I look to our next one.

Congrats on the new home, DollyKim!

We are looking to, hum . . . start looking for a new home relatively soon. Well, after I have all this estate business in hand and we know what we are dealing with. My lawyer says she is going to keep an eye on her probate cases for any estate homes that might come available, too. *glee*

Know what your ball park is and how much of a down payment you'll need to get in the place. We were able to secure the smelled like boy cat place because we were able to give our relator half the down payment right away. Be ready to pay for an inspector as well, we had one find out the dish washer in the 2nd place was so bad it could have burnt the house down.

Early on we scouted many neighborhoods as well so we knew which places weren't right for us, but some like where we're going now were a surprise, so if you're ever bored take a bit of a road trip. Saturdays and after school are good times to get an idea what the neighborhood is like.

Mmm so I went to TRU today because my dad is leaving tomorrow which means he gets us a "going away present" I never quite understood that one, but eh. While there was no MH dolls at all

I found a MT girl Arizona with all her clothes and goodies for 10$ and a Moxie Girl Lexa "I am smart" doll for 3$ I'm trying to figure out whether or not the MG clothes fit Bryn or any of the other dolls I have and the MT clothes are going to go to Vivianne.

Sometimes it's nice to rejoice in little tings: my house currently smells like brownies! There really aren't too many better smells in this world!

I want brownie smell!

And I've finally sold enough of my Monster High pattern books to pay for all my Monsters! Now to make them pay for their clothes and stuff...
