A tentative rejoice: I'm receiving more grant money this semester than the last! It's enough to cover all the fees and almost all the books! This is a tentative rejoice because I wouldn't put it past the bureaucracy to suddenly decide to take them away.

I thought they didn't run on holidays, and was pretty sure this was Memorial Day... but I just caught the postman! Package is in the mail!

Lol. Memorial day is in May. Easy mistake; I don't really keep track of it either(I googled to find the date).

One of the Evil Overlords's little jokes. She said she'd heard it was Memorial Day on the news. I went to the USPS site to check postage rates and checked their holidays and saw Memorial Day listed as Monday the 27th, and since it was Sunday the 25th thought they'd mistyped a day - and completely failed to read the word MAY in the date (I just checked again, and it's there). I blame the first day of Aunt Flo's visit for that one.

The Evil Overlord was still laughing when I went to sleep after the post ran, since I'd nearly took a lie-down and missed the post, had to run out to catch the truck in my nightgown, and she has it all on film with her little security cameras.

Can't get me down, though. I caught the truck and made the deadline. :)

Not only am I getting a week off from my smother it'll help us get a car. So far the only thing that's happened is the Easter Borzoi, who do nothing wrong, decided every cheap dish rag and towel in the kitchen had to be shredded.

Wow - exciting! I suggest investing it.

Or ... you can buy a large sweet tea at McD's if you have the change for tax.
