Long story short, my cat is back from the vet after surgery. He no longer has eyes (one was removed almost 2 years ago... had to get the other one done this time), but he's no longer in pain and back to his cuddly self. ^_^ I've had this cat for 7 years, he IS my child... and, in fact, he was my wedding present from my husband, so he means a LOT to me.

After 1 and a half hour of filing and sanding, I only managed to remove a total 1/2 a centimeter of resin from a doll's neck. It's not much, but it is a heck of an improvement from the first session when all I did was sand away with a sanding sponge.

I still need to get rid of another 1/2 centimeter before Klar's head will fit on his body, though. XD

My rejoice is that, after spending some time not looking at online dolly stuff, I found this forum! I'd been wondering what happened to 13doll. Glad we've got a new playground. And this month I've finally gotten to doll club again, where I got my BBB Ariel's ears pierced in three places. I've made her four new sets of dangly earrings, and a new (better) necklace, and a new dress! It's very short, a little dark blue empire-waisted babydoll minidress, with matchig (poorly designed) panties because it is just that short. XD When the leggings at work get marked down again I'm going to buy an XL for the fabric and make her her own pair of leggings to wear under the dress. It's cute! After not doing much with my dolls for a while it feels good to get so much done. I'll show it all off...once I find my camera.

Now I just need to sort out if and where I'm buying the Resinsoul 1/3 boy body for my SD guy...I think the RS neck is half a centimeter smaller than the DIM, that shouldn't make much of a difference when attaching a DIM head, right? o_O

My rejoice is that my daughter has ordered her first Obitsu. I'm happy because 1) she is becoming assimilated (mahahaha) and 2) I'll get to see firsthand what all the talk about Obitsu is about!

WOOOOOO.....I has a new dolly, my first resin boy...he is a Doll Family Rain on a 5star body! I am buying/trading goods for him. he is currently apart and still goldenrod yellow. (he had been rit dyed yellow, and for some reason it wont come off) I have tried a few things, but it has come down to just sanding him all over. Its alot of work, but I got him for half of his original price. AND since the seller is local and a good freind, she already let me take him home to work on him.

squeeeeeeee!

Congrats! Let us know what you think of that 5Star doll body. I've been eyeing a couple of their dolls.

My mom and one of her coworkers have had this injoke for a while now that they're Thing 1 and Thing 2. Like from the Cat in the Hat So she's been looking for ornaments of the characters for like, a couple years. I've looked online off and on for her, because her use of the computer is mostly limited to googling things for people at the library, and I just found a set of mini ornaments, with Thing 1 and Thing 2, two Cats in Hats, and a cranky old Fish in a dish, buy it now on ebay. Already bought. She and her coworker can each have one of the Things and one of the Cats. I may see if I can just have the Fish instead of getting paid back. XD It'll take a while to get here but it's for Christmas so we're not exactly in a hurry.

I'm really pleased, we'd just not been able to find anything like these.
