Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up. Spoonflower has added a new sports lycra fabric to their lineup, and as a promotional thing they're offering a free swatch of it (with free shipping), printed with whichever design on the site you want.

Yes, I know most of mine are bandannas so far that wouldn't be so great in shiny stretch, but I DO have a neat little confetti print that might make a cute stretchy dress or bikini! Plus, hey, it's a free bit of fabric big enough (swatches are 8 inches square) to possibly do a little something with, whichever pattern you choose.

They're only doing this until noon their time tommorow (US Eastern Time, apparently), so I thought to give everyone a heads-up while it's there. (Hopefully it applies to everyone and isn't a special designer promo, though it doesn't seem to be.)

And, yes, I already ordered mine, and am additionally using it to proof a black-background variant of the confetti print mentioned.

Do you know if photographs are allowed? (Of course, not studio copyrighted ones, but just candid shots of family or pets, etc.)

I'm pretty sure photos of your own family or pets are fine, as is artwork you do yourself provided it's not of a copyrighted character or something like that. You just can't use copyrighted stuff you don't own rights to.
