Happy Halloween!

Postby endlessnameless » Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:12 pm

Happy Halloween! or Happy Samhain to those who celebrate it! What are you guys dressing up as for those who dress up? What are your Halloween plans?
I'm tricking or treating with my sister and dressing up as a person who was gunned down in the desert.

It's my 13th custom doll Xavier's 9th birthday and we're watching Treehouse of Horror. For birthday cake we had cranberry bread ghosts.

Went shopping at Jo-Ann's for fabrics/notions, then for dinner at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant, and finally some last minute shopping at Publix/Walmart/Walgreens for 'Bayer PM' aspirin for our dad. (However, none of the pharmacies had it! Did Bayer discontinue it? Had to settle for Aleve PM....)

Anyway, we were dressed as Elsa and Anna from Frozen Fever and it was so cute when all the little kids recognized us everywhere we went (some really little ones actually thought we WERE Elsa and Anna!), they all yelled 'ELSA!!!' across the stores and wanted photos taken with them! Even some grandmothers and mothers wanted photos, too, and said they had to tell their little girls that they actually met Elsa and Anna today! :laughs: The cashier at Publix wanted a selfie with us---it was so funny! So many people really loved our costumes---it was so nice!

And it was really fun!!! (Apart from always holding up my cape all day so it didn't trail on the ground! My arm is so stiff! :laughs: )

Anyway, we had a blast, the food was delicious and it was a very nice Halloween!

The last few years or more we've had maximum one small group of trick or treaters.

This year we learn from experience and don't buy in many sweets.

And get 6 groups!

We just about had enough, but were rationing them after the third lot

Sadly we were all sick! We had a wonderful opportunity to trick or treat with kiddo, who is 5, but we were all sick and stayed home.

Oh hey your costumes are AMAZING! The dresses are very beautiful! Mad sewing skills!

Did everyone end up getting up to mischief on Halloween? I celebrated by watching many spooky movies and playing a few horror games which was fun!

@SetsunaKou Your costumes are amazing as always! <3

I had a lazy day Halloween watching movies with my mom and nephew. He hasn't felt too good the last couple weeks. And then sat outside to give candy to the trick-or-treaters until it got too cold.

Our puppy tried to make friends with this little cutie that was hanging around our house. Hopefully the kitty found its way back to its home. We were calling it the Candy Corn Kitten. So cute.
