He will be sorely missed.
Gods he's another of those figures who got me through some pretty awful times of my life.
Bowie always seemed immortal somehow, and I know he'll live on through his creative output, but gods it's just not the same and it isn't sinking in.

No! I hate losing people that have been iconic all my life. Now, even more, I regret not having a mini me of him. His talent and versatility will be missed.

That was the first thing I saw when I woke up. Some FB post about "RIP David Bowie". It didn't register at first. I'm just like ... David Bowie is dead? Wait ... David Bowie is DEAD? O__o SINCE WHEN?! He just turned 69 and released a brand new album!"
Needless to say, I woke up real quick. ;_;

Taffy, Jareth, and I have something in our eyes this morning. Jareth's mommy hasn't herd yet.

I was hoping that Dollykim would post a picture of Jareth.

I woke up around 2am this morning and saw it on the news feed on Facebook and just sat there stunned. He seemed bigger than life. He was a wild, crazy talent.

Yeah I adore Katyok's numerous Bowie BJDs in all of their guises, her take on the Blackstar shoots are especially poignant now. I do hope she's coping with the news better than I am today.
Well I thought I was being morbid and strange, but hey this is the BJD hobby strange is OK. Here's my Bowie MNM quickly set up (he's still incomplete):

No one out moribs and stranges Bowie. The hospital video proves it.
Dolls are just another form of fan art and you only fan art someone you love. It was the one thing my sister and I could agree on for our twins. Bowie's in space

My lifemate found this on her news feed last night before we went to bed. We both had to online-confirm it, praying it was just another cruel "celebrity death" hoax.
It wasn't.
so his last album, Blackstar, was apparently his farewell letter to his fans. And nobody knew except those closest to him that his twenty-fifth album, released on his 69th birthday, two days before he died, was him saying goodbye.
I can't stop crying.
