I've been thinking of compiling a list of tips and tricks for those of us that use a cellphone as their primary camera. I work with phones for a living and have handled a good many of them. Would that be of any interest to you lovely folks? I was going to post it on tumblr, but I can post it here too.

Sure! You can never have too many tips for taking photos.

Tips on keeping light from washing out the pics would be nice. That was the biggest issue I had with mine.

Now that I have a new cell phone that can actually take decent photos, any tips would be welcome!

Most of my tips are for inexpensive ways to light your photo without a flash!

Still, getting good lighting is half the battle, so any tips is very much appreciated.

I will start compiling a list then.

Will it help folks to have picture examples of the differences the techniques (if you can call them that?) make? It means the list will take longer to make, but I personally find pictures helpful.

I invested in a fold-up light tent. It wasn't too expensive and it took care of my lighting problems nicely. I can now take pics on my phone without flash and they show up great.

Something about how to counteract iPhone's automatic (and erratic) white balance, perhaps? Or trying to balance a doll in one hand and a big cameraphone in the other, while trying to reach across the screen to set the focus and press the shutter button at the same time. (I'm pretty annoyed at my cameraphone rn, can you tell?)
