Outside of some localized urban flooding, clogged drains and intersections, and the usual spots in the mountains it's just another storm. The Salton Sea is man made from a flood, it's designed to be a big old drainage pond.The mountain areas they show, they're creek beds that flood every time there's decent rain, that's why the news crews are set up there. Look at a satellite map and you can see the riverbeds. We have places we stay out of when it rains for a reason.
The earthquake was moderate, I didn't even feel it where I'm at, and we usually have a 5. something every year. Building codes keep us safe.
