2011 Doll resolutions

Postby DollyKim » Mon Dec 20, 2010 7:17 am

Not so much a wish list of what dolls you want to get but what plans do you have for dolls you have, or want to get, in the new year?

I want to see if I can rebody my teen Skippers but it's got to be a body that can fit the hoard of clothes I have for them.
I want to make real plans for the second dollhouse or bunch of rooms I need to better display my dolls.
Finish the LaDoll Premiere doll I started making, at least get a finished doll whether or not I like it.
Sew up all the clothes and other projects I cut out and started for the dolls.
Part of me wants to try another centaur but a jointed one.

Concentrate on the yearly "Obi-Chun gets a new qipao for Chinese New Year project"
Try not to skive and continue the Project Music outfits. I managed only 4 pieces this year (Mainly figuring out Erika's Luka costume)
Try to start the King of Fighters outfit project (of which some are part of Project Music)
Bring my Parabox Megu home during the March-May time frame
Try not not lose small items (Erika lost a part of her headphones during the night shoot. I have to make another piece for her)

Keeping an eye out for props for Dioramas

I mentioned this elsewhere on the board but my one "great idea" leaves me feeling pretty ambivalent and I'm kind of stuck over whether to even start work on it.

Otherwise, for the first time in many years, I have no goals or plans for 2011 related to this hobby. As it stands right now, doll hobby stuff could very well be on hold for at least part of the year.

I want to work on the 65+ 1/6 dolls I've just bought. Hybridize, frankendoll, dress and photograph. I think I bit off more than I can chew - I will see  I want to make a hanging storage pouch for them so I can see them at a glance.
I have a few doll outfits to sew for my daughters and 4 or 5 jointed cloth dolls to finish.
I also have a backlog of fabric to sew for my 1/3 and 1/4 scale dolls. It's enough to keep me busy all year.
Oh, I'd like to magically improve my photography skills as well :D

Does this, will this, enhance my life or the lives of others?

Ack! I'm being overrun by Monster High dolls and frankendollies!

Complete most (if not all) of my 1/6th characters so I can start this photostory I've been working on. XD

Learn to draft patterns for Mr. Fancypants Klar and Ms. Fancypants Tanja because apparently, they think they're too good for premade items. orz

1. To finish making walls and floors for all the rooms I have doll furniture for.
2. Bring home a Planet Doll Mini Dandy to be Anders and a Seed Doll Starling to be Amina.
3. Make a trunk full of Mid Victorian clothes for Shriara.
4. Do more photo-stories.

1. I have 4 and 1/2 face-ups to do. (My poor Dika doll has waited 10 months so far.)
2. I need 2, maybe 3, Obitsu bodies.
3. Clothes, clothes, clothes, and clothes.
4. Wigs, eyes, and kips.

I have full intention in the new year of buying a new doll and trying my first face-up. (Lyn didn't win the OC battle. Cassandra's chosen it.) An anime face-up at that.

And perhaps I'll buy a Hujoo Berry. They really are adorable.

But the biggest thing I'm going to attempt? Make Haruka magical girl clothes and a Hikaru cosplay for her.

1. Re-spray and gloss Willow's faceup
2. Maybe try some sewing because I haven't done that forever!!
3. find/buy a doll for the SM Chrom paws I have
4. blush the Chrom paws.

That's it at the moment.
