I hereby open an official thread for people to share the strangest, funniest, and most unexpected (in a perhaps not good way) gift that they received for Xmas, Yule, Hanukkah or any holiday I've forgotten to mention I will start mine out with my favorite from this year.

God help me, yes, I was given a leopard print snuggie for Xmas....at least it wasn't pink.....

I asked everyone to keep things basic and simple for me this year. I got a rather, um, festive insulated travel mug from my sister. Did I mention it was FESTIVE? On a more serious note, she did give my wife and me a gift certificate to our favorite local kitchen store.

In terms of really cool stuff, I recently found a 1/6 scale doll that has been on my grail list for a couple of years. Thanks to my mom and grandparents-in-law (is that even the correct term?), I have the money to get it. Now I just have to get over the "I'm going to spend HOW MUCH for this thing?" feeling and do it.

I got a blank diary... cuz I never use online means to write about my life... *sigh* Not even a sketch book.

oh yey a wtf blanket haha! Honestly I would use a probably use a snuggie but I would call it a wtf blanket all the time.

didn't really end up with anything particularly wild this year... I ended up with a vacuum which could have been a great gift if I had wanted one but I'm redoing my whole house in hardwood so It'll be returned. Oh I got one of those dumb meat and cheese gift sets butttttt it had a miniture cuttingboard and tiny cleaver that I've just fallen in love with. Dollie sized! Yey. I also recieved my Pan head which I am totally psyched about. I can't wait to get him all together!

My "wow!" gift was a child size Victorian style settee for my dolls from my husband! They love it!

My "huh?" gift was a 2011 John Wayne calendar . . . sure . . . I like John Wayne . . . sure . . . I'm disappointed Hollywood decided to remake True Grit, but . . . a John Wayne calendar? Oh, it's followed closely by a DVD of Robin Hood starring Earl Flynn . . . LOL! I love my family but sometimes I wonder if they know me!

Shriara got a gold rimmed porcelain souvenir coffee set in her size.

I got a how to crochet kit from the friend I taught to crochet? But it did include hook sizes I don't have and some really beautiful yarn.

Bath soap, a light up key chain, and a bagel slicer :/ I only see the slicer getting any use, don't like the smell of the soap, don't need another key chain.

I offically have four out of the five games in the Trauma Center series from Atlus. (Dude Forensics in Trauma Team is freakin' me out.)

Liv Clothes for Haruka, (She has shoes that fit now and a cute scarf.)

A Go board, candy, and a laptop!

I also got enough money to buy what I want during the sales tomorrow and to buy Riven! I can buy my boy if I spend my money wisely. Although I might just hold off until my B-day still since Haruka's wig did not arrive.

However I am super happy with my gifts. I love them all. I've also gotten a USB lamp to go with my laptop.

And lastly I got a 25 dollar gift card for Hot Topic. (I'll probably order an FMA shirt or something.)

I also got a bunch of office supply stuff. (For drawing.)

And my huh gift is Descendants Of Darkness volume 1. My mom convinced me that Barns and Nobles didn't have it and to my great joy it was the second gift I unwrapped.
