I had a major computer crash and I lost everything. I was hoping you guys could link me to your best and favorite dolly links. Thanks...this computer thing really sucks.

OK, lemme see here.

I know this guy from OneSixth Warriors and I *think* from back in my days at Men With Dolls but I can't remember his name or user name. Some seriously whacked out but extremely creative customs:

The Flickr group for Dolls Of The Roundtable, featuring our own Iwa Hoshi:
LINK

Andy Heng's Toys R Evil blog. Proving that even being smacked down by a stroke isn't enough to keep a good blogger/toy geek down:
LINK

Gun Blaze 6, because... uh... well... yeah! Hey, it has dolls and (1/6 scale) guns so, well.... OK, it's kind of a weird site.
LINK

Ritsuko "Ree" Yokoyama's blog. Mostly a "slice of life" blog but she does discuss her doll hobby and does "traveling doll" posts. Ree is married to well-known designer/graphic artist/modeler Kow (pronounced "Koh") Yokoyama, so you'll also see quite a bit on his best-known work, the Maschinen Kreiger (aka Ma.K.)/SF3D series. Ma.K. is notable as being possibly the first retro-future WW2 inspired media project, predating the Kerberos Saga by a couple of years.
LINK

I'll try to dig up more and add 'em as I find 'em.

I've lost every link from tips and tricks to favorite dolly shopping sites. Anywhere that you guys buy from or use the most. It's a chance to not only get old links but spam new ones.

OK then, here are my favorite on-line retailers.
Junky Spot. Do I really even need to add that one? Yep, of course I do!

Monkey Depot. Probably the on-line seller I've dealt with the most consistently over the last decade+.

War-Toys. I've dealt with War-Toys for a number of years and they are virtually neck and neck with Monkey Depot. The company changed hands several years ago but the new owner never skipped a beat.

Justice Fighters. Justice Fighters goes back to the pre-internet days as a seller of vintage GI Joe, Action Man and other related brands. A great place to find older and more obscure stuff that other dealers don't carry. The prices are very reasonable and they also buy and trade. (I'm kicking myself because they recently had a bunch of nude Super Articulated GI Joes that sold out before I could buy 'em.) They also do nice business in primary retail (i.e. new releases) as well as secondary.

Hobby Search. My primary retailer for Japanese market items. I also use HobbyLink Japan, although a bit less frequently.

Milatch already feature some of the links I use as well

Audrey's Doll Gallery
For wigs and things at a slight discount, although they tend to use Priority Mail for me

Japanese Exclusive Doll shop
If its Momoko you desire. I haven't bought from them but kinda keep the site a last resort for items if I can't get from HLJ or Hobby search

For my dolls
They make wigs. I keep this on standby.

Glass eye online
For whatever reason you want to buy irises instead of eyeballs

Good stuff to go
When you want to mug an action figure for parts

Figure.FM
for whatever reasons you want to look at Dollfie Dreams and Pureneemos(when they pop up)

Thank you guys sooooooo much. Getting these links back are a HUGE step to getting this computer back in order. I also just signed up for Carbonite to back me up permenantly. Worth the money for the sanity.

Look in to a thumb drive, if not an external hard drive, for back up too. I keep important documents on the thumb and everything else on the hard drive. My only resistance to just an online service is if the power is out I can't reach it.

Angelic Dreams is a good fashiondolly seller, plus they carry all kinds of interesting odds-and-ends.

I feel your pain, I've had my computer crash more then once, and I've lost a lot of stuff that way. Now I have two external drives I use to back up both my computers almost weekly. And two flash drives I save copies of all my pictures on.
