Please send your best wishes and/or prayers to Japan right now. For those who don't know the country was hit by the most severe earthquake in it's history and as of the last report I saw there are over 300 people dead.
My own brother and his family, thank god, have come through it well and undamaged - they are just without power.
I also wish well for anyone who is in a tsunami warning area.

I've been watching the coverage since I woke up this morning...definately sending prayers that way.
I have a friend over there...still waiting to hear from her.

I'm still watching the coverage and trying to take it all in. Absolutely stunning and horribly tragic.

Our town has been on alert since 5am or so. Roads closed down, our harbor drained like a river earlier, there's been damage in the harbor. It's been an interesting morning and I'm so glad we won't get the same action as japan did.

Some of my family live in Hawaii. They were all moved to the middle of the island and have been on alert for a long time. Luckily nothing has happened to them.
But everyone (Japan, Hawaii, Cali, ect.) are in my thoughts!

I've been sitting here horrified for hours watching coverage.
My thoughts and prayers are much with the people of Japan. They're still experiencing aftershocks that would be considered major quakes in most places. And with dawn breaking I'm horrified to think of the span of the destruction we'll find.

My grandparents just came here to visit from the Philippines last week.. so they're here, thankfully.
I don't know where several other family members are though.. I've been trying to figure out who's in the states and who's over there...

I've been watching the news and worried. Japan is so densely populated! And all those aftershocks.
Also, best wishes to everyone with friends or family in Japan.
