I'm sure there are several of you who also get the Jpopdoll email newsletter, but I was pleasantly surprised enough by their latest one that I wanted to share it with those who don't.

Jpopdolls, as a community gesture, has decided to feature New Artists of the doll world. As Jpopdolls put it: "Jpopdolls has always supported the artist community. We are starting a new program of sending out newsletters to our customers introducing artists they may never have heard of before. These artists produce wonderful dolls or doll related products but are not carried by http://www.Jpopdolls.net. There is so much wonderful talent out there and we hope to help bring some of it to the attention of our doll loving community!!"

Their first introduction is of Batchix and her doll sculpt, Lagoon. which can be found on her website - http://batchix.g36.net/?page_id=6. Cute doll, but a bit overpriced for my tastes. Still, I know personally commissioned sculpts cost a lot so it's understandable.

I'm all for sharing and highlighting the variety of talent to be found in the doll community so - way to go, Jpopdolls!

I was also pleased to see this in my inbox. And Lagoon is beautiful but unfortunately out of my reach for now. But I am *super* tempted.
