Cuz we need one of these, too . . . . . what sucks for me right now is that I still don't have Lorlei back from her faceup and blushing. I sent her out 3/23 priority mail, her faceup was done the following weekend (pic emailed) and then the girl who was commissioned to do it, said she couldn't get to the body blush until last weekend. When I didn't hear from her by Monday, I emailed her. She replied Tuesday that Lorilei was finished, but her family was experiencing financial problems and to help out, she emptied her bank acct so she would have to wait until my Paypal payment cleared her bank before she could send Lorilei to me. And as you all probably know - that take 3-5 business days. . . .
I sent the payment through along with the shipping Tuesday, and sent her an email telling her that she can process and print out a priority mail shipping label directly from the USPS web site and pay with Paypal, but I haven't heard back from her since . . . . that's really not so unusual. Even before, when I met her as the coordinator of a group order I participated in, it could take a day or more before she replied, but . . .
I was going to have one of the ladies at this Saturday's meet-up show me how to restring and kip Lorilei. Now, since it looks like I'm not going to get her until sometime next week, I'm going to have to try it all on my own - something I'm not looking forward to.
And of course, even though I don't really believe it, and she's promised me it isn't so, I can't help but hear that nagging little voice in the back of my head that I might not see Lorilei again . . . Still, this is a DoA member in good standing, so like I said - I really don't believe that will happen. *crosses fingers*

Hope she hasn't fallen in love with Lorlei. What about offering to pay for the shipping yourself but only when the doll arrives at your home. Do UPS or Fed Ex still do that? If they do have her send the doll back, and when she arrives ask the driver to wait a moment while you open the package or pick it up at their office. I had a driver wait when I got a smushed box to make sure the contents were fine.

hugs Kirahfaye* I'm sure it'll all work out, hon! Though, it is pretty standard practice to wait until payment is recieved or fully cleared to send back commissions, (at least all the commissioners I know do it that way for everyone's financial safety). Weird that she has to wait for it to clear her bank...I know payments I recieve go directly into my paypal.
I'm going to go ahead and give a suckz for the day. Because I need to. My auto immune disorder is acting up right now. Baddly. And the timing couldn't be worse. I'm going to Baltimore this weekend for a friend's wedding and next week I'm traveling to Florida with the band for a gig that'll be very intense-3 full sets in 3 days plus driving there and back. And, at the moment, I barely have the energy to sit at the comp and type. *sigh, thrash, thrash* So anyone who has some extra energy or white blood cells lying around, please send 'em my way!!!

*hugs arrowchild* Yeah, sure - go ahead. Make my little gripe seem small and petty. *chuckle*
Can't help with the energy thing, though. Today I have the energy of a blob. A heavy, thick blog. I've finally discovered that menopause sukz! After swimming through it the past couple of years watching others struggling, whining and flopping around, I think its finally starting to hit me in all it's glory.
And, yeah - the issue with Lorilei is what I get for trying to save money by skimping on known experience and quality. I should have just sent her head to arrowchild like I originally intended on doing . . . (smacks own hand) Also, what will take 3-5 days to clear is her transfer of the payment *from* Paypal *to* her bank so she will have cash to ship the doll out. That's pretty much the standard time frame when transferring money between Paypal and banks.

It can take a couple of days to go from PayPal to your bank, I've had that happen. It depends on the bank.

lol...I'm pretty positive I'd be stressed in your situation too! It's never any fun waiting for payments to clear, wondering what's going on with online transactions etc. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
I still have a few years until the Big M, but I rememebr when my mom went through it a while back-no energy whatsoever!
So...energy-less persons and zombies unite!!!!!

It sucks to be waiting on a pair of platform creeper shoes for my Obitsu boy, and yet another wig for my Dollfie Dream girl. There's also a couple of t-shirts coming for my Mini Dollfie Dream, but I just ordered them yesterday.
Oh well, I went out to Westwood and hung out with my friend Biff...
She brought her Koko and I brought my Namiko. Had the sudden realization that Namiko is a 1/3 scale child and Koko is a 1/4 scale adult. Cosmic, man. Now that's something that doesn't suck, actually...

Sukz rag on "that other forum".
*Points down to signature and cute little dragon egg*
"That other forum" decided that links in sigs to the Dragon Cave weren't allowed. That cool - it's their forum and they can make the rules. What sukz is that not only did one of the mods remove my egg (and the link) - they completely deleted the rest of my signature as well(!!) - the only copy of a snippet "poem" I wrote that had gotten some nice remarks from others. Considering it was giving praise to God, I'm really unhappy at the inference. Now I know, I should have copied it over to Word, but I didn't. And now, I can't.
Sukz.
