I get a bad taste in my mouth knowing that people are buying bootleg BJD. Not many of the BJD companies are big enough to withstand the economic hit if BJD bootlegging gets out of control. I'm not saying it's cool that people there went on a witch hunt...but, honestly? I say good for DOA for being a great big ol' bootleg watchdog. If we want the doll companies, which are VERY small operations, to be able to keep making the dolls we love, bootlegging has to be discouraged. I think instances like that one make the prospect of buying a bootleg seem pretty sour. And that's a good thing.

OMGNONMEBERMESSAGEOFDOOM Kinda wish DOA would allow all threads but marketplace viewable and searches available to non members. Not all of us want to deal with the Drama Lama of being a member but would like to be privy to information. *wonders off to make cinnamon rolls or mail stuffs whichever comes first*

It's one thing to buy a bootleg unknowingly, another to do it on purpose and flaunt it. Tacky in the extreme, but I can't think of a creative industry out there that is not a victim of it unfortunately. There is always someone willing to rip off both creative people and the public in order to make a buck.
Perhaps we should send the flicker information to Theodoric - seeing as he was such a big fan of Iplehouse: I'm sure he'd be happy to take on this group hahahahaha

I'm kind of surprised that she stepped up and identified herself so quickly. That's kind of gutsy.
It's sad that there are people out there who think that they so deserve -insert whatever unnecessary item here- that they are more than willing to illegally obtain it and then defend what they did.

It was a male doll though I believe. Evidence shows our lovely ex-member was far more fond of the ladeez.

wow.....I can't believe this girl thought it was ok to do what she did. I wonder how old she is. She seems to not understand the idea that by buying fake dolls she is supporting the recasters and allowing them to steal from the true creatives.
