East coast hurricane

I'm pretty worried about this has it's supposed to hit Jersey head on. Anyone else in it's path, I hope you do what you can to be safe and survive it. I'm working on packing things away and making bug out bags in the event of evacuation. Dolls will be put in a back pack but honestly, material things are secondary, our life and the cat come first.

Told my husband I'll be damned if the cat gets left behind. No way. Even my last cat's ashes are coming with us. :P

I would leave ALL my dolls behind before I left any of my cats. :)

I haven't watched the news in a few days, so I'm not up to date. Hope everything is okay for you guys, and your kitties!

It's heading for me too Cat, I'm terrified. I've never actually been in a real hurricane before just the leftovers of others.

I'm actually really scared, I don't like high winds and my house is old so it's really creaky and the windows shake x.x

How close to the coast do you live?

we're not near the coast at all. We're closer the the city of Philly than we are to any shoreline. But we DO live near a creek that has a history of flooding, so we have to watch out for that. We have a craw space under the house on the off chance of a tornado (which we apparently live in a high-risk zone for), I have no idea if we'd even make it inside though. I'll probably pack myself up to be ready to run at any moment. We're really hoping it shifts east of us more and weakens a bit.

It's supposed to hit us Satuday so we're thinking that we'll see what the news says about it's strength and if it's still bad pack up and go towards PA. Or a shelter. Makes me worry about my Mother in law with her dog. She's in a mobile home, and then my parents with 3 cats having to evacuate possibly and my grandma in a rehab center. o_o

I live right on the coast, and we have a lot of waterways that could flood. I'm not too worried though just a bit freaked.

First an earthquake and now a hurricane. Finally, the east coast gets interesting.
