Anticipation goes south

You know the feeling, right? You've ordered a doll - not a grail doll or anything that awesome, but just a doll you've liked and you've gotten a deal on. Every day you check the tracking online, and at last the mailman drops the box into your eager hot little hands. With feverish glee you open the package and slide out the doll in it's box AND

it's the wrong doll.

:(

Someone FINALLY had a J-doll that I really like on sale on Ebay - the Charing Cross Rd doll - so I splurged and bought her in a fit of stress shopping. All week I've been anticipating my first J-doll's arrival and the delivery showed up a whole day ahead of the projected schedule! Then I slid her out of the box and discovered I'd been shipped Crescent Rd instead.

sigh.... It could be much worse - I actually like Crescent Rd and have contemplated buying her on several occassions - he could have sent me one of the pink haired ones. But still, it's not the doll I was looking forward to and now until we resolve the issue (either we swap dolls or maybe I just cave and pay for this one if it's on sale and get both) I can't open the damn box and have to just stare at her >< AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGG

Only ever had that happen with a book. The incredible irony is that I ordered one of the Jim Butcher books and I got some sucky romance, and not just any romance, but one from a religious line, so it's a Christian sucky romance. There could not possibly be two more unlike books on the planet.

That's funny VV because in a way the dolls are opposite too. Crescent Rd is in a Lolita style outfit with lots of lace, while Charing Cross is in trousers and boots and a long coat :)

Well, I heard from the seller and they are going to send me the correct doll and I'm going to pay $34.99 to keep the one he sent me. That's an obscenely good price for a J-doll so I'm quite comfortable with the deal :) And now I'll have 2 J-dolls instead of 1!

I feel your pain. I've had that happen to me two times with some doll's bodies I was buying. I was sent the wrong ones, I'm glad to hear you have it worked out.

sigh....I'm starting to think J-dolls are cursed.

Today I received my second attempt at getting my Charing Cross Rd. Doll from the seller and guess what?

I got ANOTHER Crescent Rd......honestly, they don't even look the same! So, off goes ANOTHER email to the seller and this time the wrong doll goes back WITH a printout of what I was supposed to receive!

sigh....

LOL - he's not that bad, but I'm guessing that yes, english may not be his first language based on the emails I've gotten...sigh...I put a printout that includes the picture of the doll I bought, into the box of the one I'm returning. He damn well better get it right this time!
