How long does it take for a doll to go through Customs?

It depends on many things including, what the shipper marked as the value, what exactly the shipper marked as inside, how the item was packaged, and really even where it landed in customs. If it goes straight to Chicago for customs you might have a week, if it got stuck in somewhere like New York, it can possibly be stuck for almost a month if you are unlucky.

Baahhhhhh! I ordered a doll wig from an artist in China, and a) she gave me an incorrect tracking number so I can't track it, b) I don't know how long it takes something to get from China to the US anyways, and c) if it is here, it's probably stuck in Customs. >_<

Also depends on the shipping method. I had a doll sent Express mail make it through NY customs overnight. Another item was sent regular airmail and took about a week.

My experience has been EMS from Osaka to Chicago. Typically the shipping time has been four actual days (three calendar days due to the international date line). Most of the time the tracking info states the package (with the packing/customs info on the outside of the package) spent 4 to 12 hours in customs.

Yes, ordering from China does seem to be a double edged sword: Initially cheap to purchase, but a real free-for-all when it comes to shipping. I also ordered a wig (back on February 2). According to tracking, it's been stuck in Chungwa since then? *shrugs*

I ordered a doll off the MP from Spain. Customs. Took. TWO. Months. I've had friends have very bad waits on customs through Spain, Italy and France. And it all seems to be US Customs. I've ordered from England, Poland and Australia and they usually arrive within 2 weeks.

That's horrible to know. A family member in Britian just sentt us canned Haggis for me to try and that was last month. Knowing it could take that long is quite sobering. Foo.

My doll that I got from Norway took a whole month too, so I'm thinking it's most of Europe. >.<;
