Potential Recast Seller Warning

I don't know if anyone here is a member of the BJD Adoption group on FaceBook, but recently a member was banned for selling recast dolls and parts as the real thing and not finishing trades or failing to ship goods. She was going by the name of Brittany Rose. She has been banned from DOA in the past for the same issues and even banned from the recasters FB group for reselling recasts as real. Well, she has reappeared on FB as Brittany Doe. Yeah, original. Anyway, I don't want a debate about recasting to come of this post. I only want to make everyone aware of someone who is selling recasts as originals through FB and apparently Ebay. I saw the photos of one of the dolls sold and unless you were very familiar with the doll and how the manufacturer produced it you wouldn't know it wasn't real.

Admins, please feel free to lock the thread if you think that's a good idea, just please leave it up for people to see.

We at DS definitely support the rights of the original creators to their products and definitely discourage anyone from knowingly purchasing a recast. Thanks for the warning!

Yep! Thanks! One of the few names I actually remember from reading the warning about known scammers on DOA hehe.
Sometimes even when you try to be careful with your shopping a person can manage to fake being reputable, so I'm glad people watch out for one another.

It doesn't matter which side of the recast debate you're on. It's never ok to sell a fake as the real thing. Thanks for the tip, Kirahfaye!

I don't know about her Ebay account at this point. Here's the info I have from the BJD Adoption group:

Apparently she's been doing some other nefarious things - like hacking into at least one of the group members FB account and deleting her from the group (how juvenile!) and she continues to change her last name and create new FB accounts - some of the last names belong to members of the BJD Adoption FB group. In response, the group is now closed to the public. It always required admin approval for membership, but now it can't be read by the public.
