Alright, I found this article on buzzfeed about artists Eddie Aguirre Cendejaz and Nikolay Lamm. http://www.buzzfeed.com/donnad/barbie-a ... out-makeup Early last month, they created some images of Barbie without makeup; she actually looks great without makeup! But in some of the photo's I think its better to leave the makeup on, lol. While they made some pretty creative imagery, I'm wondering if anyone has actually refaced a Barbie and if you think these photos are an accurate representation of what she looks like without makeup. Has anyone ever made Barbie Mods here? The article ends with this question... "If dolls look good without makeup, do they even need to include it?" Thoughts?

Well, those of us who do face-ups knew this all along. :)
That first picture is just a joke about those korean girls who look way different without their make-up.
Of course, there is more space for error if you use eye make-up. If the positioning is a little off, she won't look *completely* derp-y. Besides, little kids tend to prefer things that are brightly colored.
That said, a less make-up version would be good; better for self esteem, and all that.

I swear I had a Bratz that was really close looking to that one's non-makeup look, but she was pale skinned and brunette. I think she came with a spa/beauty salon, so you were supposed to 'apply' the fake makeup to her or something.

Maybe getting rid of some of it, but most people's lips are darker than what was shown and I really didn't care for the look that made them seem like they didn't have eyelashes. I found the Disney face looked the most appealing to me.
