Fourth of July Weekend: AnthroCon Pittsburg Penn Author GoH
Aug 15-18 GenCon Writer GoH
Aug 30-Sept 2 DragonCon Guest

Please remember that at these conventions I am NOT free to spend hours in meetups or chatting. I am there in a professional capacity, and have panels, signings, and yada to do. I'd love to meet you, but I am there for everyone at the convention. A fellow pro once made the very salient observation that a convention where you are the GoH is the LAST place where you should expect to spend any time with friends.

What room with yada be held this year at D*C? ;)

I believe they have the next 2 years novelist and artist guests of honor already, but it would be terrific to have you and your husband come to JordonCon soon. It's not just about Robert Jordon - they have expanded it to include fantasy literature and artwork in general.

Because every convention represents a monetary loss to us in terms of working time that goes right out the window, we do not attend conventions where all our expenses (travel, food, lodging) are not covered. That's about the only requirement.

Are you out of your mind? crowding that many conventions into three months is stupid enough without compounding it with a fourth.

Understood. I think JordonCon comps their honorees, but it's something I'd have to check on. I know my husband suggested you and Larry at this past con (which is in April in metro Atlanta, as opposed to the hottest part of summer in downtown.....) for a future one. After all - you can share a room, so there's one less expense for them! :)
